Hey guys, I had these glass screens custom made and they will be available soon.  They have logos on the bottom bezel that gives them a factory look and feel. They have adhesive backing that you just peel and stick. I'm also working on getting templates made to help make cutting the front shell easier. The glass screen will be $15.99 plus shipping and another $4 for the cutting template.  These can be ordered at www.tg16pcemods.com.

Here is what the replacement controller board looks like.  This one is pictured using the custom IC pulled from a bad stock board.  These will shipped out with the two commercially available IC that function the same as the stock IC except with the comlink disabled.  Has diodes for the ext. controller mod and a spot to solder to on the back for switchless region mod. Will also have a jst connector for a plug in for the ext. controller port.

Hey all, we all know the controller boards  suffer from bad carbon traces causing the buttons and/or turbo functionality not to work.  In some cases, the main custom IC are failing.  In most cases, the bad carbon traces can be fixed by soldering a jumping wire or two but sometime you're need to fix the traces where the buttons makes contacts and that can be tricky.  Also there is no commercially available IC that fits the footprint of the custom IC.  To combat this issues, thesteve and I are working on a replacements controller board that will also incorporated components that will make it easy to add the external controller mod if one so chooses.

These are now available to order on the website at www.tg16pcemods.com.  Price is $40 plus shipping.  Get a $10 discount if you send in your stock board.

Note, comlink and lcd shutoff for power saving feature will not work unless OEM Chip is used instead. This will ship assembled with alternate replacement chips.

There is also an optional player 1 external controller port mod kit (available soon).

Just picked up a Sony 4K TV and thought I share some comparison between the OSSC & Framemeister.  OSSC is at 5X line and Framemeister is with the firebandx turbo profile settings.  The OSSC has a 3 frame input lag vs the 4 frame with a Framemeister on my set.  In conclusion, the OSSC is only 1 frame faster in terms of lag but the framemeister has better picture quality imo.  Also the picture quality using the ossc on a 1080p HDTV is not much better than direct component since it's only works on 2x line on those set.

Hey guys, so after years of doing the Turbo Express 3.5" LCD mod, thesteve and I finally have the composite video boards made.  These boards are installed right on top of the hu6260.   All you have to do is lift the corresponding legs, bend them over and solder.  Run the 5V, ground and video out accordingly.  Doesn't get any easier then that.

These are $15 each plus shipping.  Boards were made in the USA and hand assembled by me.  Please pm if you would like to order as my website hasn't been updated yet to include this mod board.  Thanks

I would be interested in some.  Beats having to pull these separately from backup monitors like I'm currently doing.

I haven't posted in here in a while but in the spirit of keeping up with all the sexy people here, I've been regularly visiting the gym myself, almost very morning before work since January to be exact.  Here is the latest picture of me.

Awesome, different approach than what I did but still awesome the same. Mine was modded with an internal 2500mAh and with an optional additional pack.

Got it running on battery.  I put in two 3000mAh 3.7 lipo in series to get 7.4V.  Getting about an hour run time only. Will do an LED mod on the lcd next.

Quote from: NightWolve on 08/19/2016, 01:51 AMWow, you guys really have gone at it! Where did you place access to the ED to load/eject the microSD card or does that require opening it if you need to load a game not already preloaded ?
Right now, it would have to be open up to load and eject the microSD.  I may try something so it doesn't.
I have a cps2 multi board by darksoft, I had the same issue and was able to use a cable extender from the SD card slot to the outside of case.  It's just a ribbon cable with a dummy SD card on the end and a female slot on the other,  worked really well.
Great idea, I ordered a microSD extender. I added LED for the ED.  Now just waiting on a microSD extender so I don't have to open up the unit to load/eject microSD.

So here is just another mod.  It's a turbografx-16 modded with internal ED 2.4 and super system card functionality for the cd games.  It will default boot to ED without hucard in slot.  Shout out to thesteve for figuring this out.

IMG
IMG

Having a spare hucard slot helps with the mod but wires can be run and soldering directly to the ED.

Note: LS245 is needed at empty spot (IC103) on tg16 pcb for older version of ED, ED 2.4 has it already built-in.

You guys have already seen my psone lcd mod.  I couldn't always get a good solid connection and it was steady enough when attached to the pce.  Then I thought what about mounting it on the tennokoe 2 bank.

IMG

IMG

IMG

There looks to be enough room to add an internal li-ion battery mod in the tennokoe bank so I will try that next.

OK guys, I'm currently taking orders for HuZero and Tonguemans Logic as a dual hucard.  These are homebrews created by Chris Covell.  HuZero is a tribute to the snes mode 7 racer F-Zero and Tongueman's Logic is a puzzle game.  A portion of each sales proceed will go to the developer himself.  These are available in white or black and either for the pce or tg16.  Special pricing of $45 plus shipping.

Quote from: shubibiman on 05/16/2016, 12:31 PMThe thing is that Ichigo doesn't sell his cards with games in them. And he sold them for about 2$ each. Every buyer is free to install the game he wants. That's a pretty big different, isn't it ?

Of course, I guess you've decided that as a Frenchman I'll be wrong whatever I say. But mark my words : one day or another, these repros will be sold as "reissues" with a much higher price tag (even if not by Turbokon). I was really naive back in 2005 when I bought repros of Sapphire to Tobias.

Anyway...
$2 each just for the card.  A little more for the black card.  Doesn't include the eeprom and the back mask neither.  Yeah pretty big difference I would say...

The true scambags are those that will try to resell these at a way higher price.  There is always is.  In fact we already catch one guy trying to and that person has already been blacklist.  One way we can combat this kind of thing is to flood the market.

Made in France.

Available for cheap. Very cheap.

This was made one year ago.
Yep, cheap because these are DIY kits and with the plastic backs which you will have to get made separately. There is a separate for sale thread for these out there.  Another option if you prefer to go this route.

Here it is against ours. Notice the back.

was there ever any consideration for making the hucards a flat/matte gray color? might be neat looking if you could do something like that..
The standard color is actually off white a little.  We are also have them in black and gold.

We actually did a Kickstarter last year for a device that plugs to the expansion bus allowing for component output.  Why Component you ask?  Because most hdtv don't natively take rgb and ours wouldn't need a separate RGB to component transcoder.  Anyway long story short, Kickstarter didn't gain enough support and we had put this project on an indefinite hold.  I have a few protos laying around and great for testing and working on systems with my hdtv set.

IMG

Thinking back we should have included RGB output as well.

This is already posted in the sale thread so I apologize for the double post.  I just wanted to make sure people are aware of the new version in case they aren't checking on the sale post.

Thesteve and I made the obey region chip easier to install.  This new chip does not require that you run wires to each hucard slot pin.  It fits directly on the pins for easy slim installation.  Installation time is around 15 to 20 minutes (compared to previous models which could easily take an hour or more).

It wires to the SPDT as normal for home consoles with base of switch to switch soldering pad on new chip, 5v on one end of switch and ground on the other end.The switchless function for the handheld units is now on the same board but requires a couple of additional components.

The key to this install is to cut the 9 pins on hucard slot side really short.
