Hey guys, looking to sell my boxed PC Engine CDROM2 unit and what games I have left for it, along with a few Turbo games. The CDROM unit was serviced by Keith Courage last year and has the new gear installed. Works great. Overall the unit is in superb condition with all the manuals, OEM AC adapter, System Card 2.1, baggies, etc. I'm including the Super System Card 3.0 with the unit. Box is very nice other than a slight bend in the top on one side as seen in the picture. Games are listed below with details. If interested, send me a PM. Make an offer. Prices do not include shipping due to how much shipping costs vary due to distance, weight, etc. Thanks for looking!

Off-Topic / Re: Net Neutrality
12/28/2017, 05:58 PM
Nulltard, it's funny because that's the mantra of liberalism, not conservatism. Everyone is a victim in the world of the left. Every failure MUST be because of someone's race, gender, sexuality, income level, education level, or what have you. If you failed, it's because of the system. Someone holding you down. It's probably some evil white man too. You are a victim. You are owed everything. If someone has more than you, it must because they obtained it through some unfair means and it's the job of the government to make it right, by force if necessary. That's liberalism in a nutshell.

I'm looking to sell my extra copies of Ys and Ys II for the MSX. Ys includes the obi but is missing the hardcover manual. Also, there is a bit of Japanese writing in the upper corner. Ys II includes the hardcover manual and is in excellent shape. I'm looking to get $45 for the pair but I'm willing to separate them if necessary. Just PM if you're interested. Thanks!

Quote from: Digi.k on 02/26/2016, 10:17 PMman I still have the originals Bubblegum Crisis on VHS.... I just don't have a video player anymore...

The Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 I didn't like that much and I can't remember why exactly as it's been years since I imported the box set from US soil.

I still got the japanese music CD

IMG
Love the original Bubblegum Crisis, especially the soundtrack. BC 2040 was nearly as good for me and I think part of it had to do with the music. The original set the bar so high.

Quote from: NightWolve on 01/22/2016, 12:00 AMJust happened moments ago, an Ys buddy of mine PM'ed me that an original Ys I & II Complete Limited Edition set had just gone up on eBay by HitJapan. He knew I wanted one after he showed me the one he bought and he kept an eye out for the next sale to pop up on my behalf.

So HitJapan wanted $50 + $20 for shipping, BUT, they had a Make Offer option, so my initial haggle attempt was based on subtracting that $20 for shipping, to keep it at $50, my absolute max, so I offered $30... To my surprise and disappointment, the operator was online and accepted my offer a few minutes later... I wonder much lower I could've gone, but oh well, $50 it is!!! :)

It's a bit collectard to want this for my shelf basically since I played out the game and already have the Falcom Popular Edition which is the mini-me version of this full Limited Edition set. For the most part, it'll admittedly just be a shiny trophy of some of my Ys past. Always liked how they fashioned the box in the style of an ancient book of Ys. :) But yeah, oh well, I have a bit of collectard in me.

Been wanting to get this but I always miss out on it. In fact, I was looking at this one and looks like I waited too long and you snagged before I did. Nice grab.

Well, I've decided to sell my Laseractive. I really don't use it that much and the games I really want for it are outrageously expensive so I've decided to sell it all and put the money towards other things. The package includes the Laseractive unit, Sega PAC S-10, 6-Button controller, 6 foot controller extension and 2 games - Triad Stone and Pyramid Patrol. The LA is in overall very nice shape. It has a few dings and scratches along the edges of the metal shell but it's still a very nice looking unit. Both it and the Sega PAC work great. Never had any issues at all. Controller works great as well. Both games work flawless. Pyramid Patrol has instruction sheet, while Triad Stone has the obi and instruction sheet. Ys and Snatcher shown to demonstrate Sega PAC works. Looking to get $500 plus shipping for the whole package. If anyone is interested, send me a PM.

Quote from: johnnykonami on 08/20/2015, 12:23 PMI would do this if I had that much cool promo stuff!  I keep my almost complete Turboplay/DuoWorld etc. collection in a similar binder setup. (I have been meaning to buy the missing 1 or 2 issues from here one day, although it kinda saddens me it won't have my name and address on them)
:D

Magazines get special treatment.

Cool stuff. I'm pretty sure I have the TZD brochure and some Turbo Play mags in one of my boxes. Wish I could do my magazines all nice and organized like that. However, I have around 900 gaming magazines so I don't have the real estate in my house for that.

Off-Topic / Any Ys Collectors here?
08/14/2015, 08:41 AM
Ever since I first played Ys Books I&II on the Turbo CD I've been a huge fan of the series. Something about hearing Adol's Theme during the intro hooked me and I've been collecting Ys items ever since. My goal is to get every game released for the series, period. Thus far I have 29 games and 2 doubles though there are quite a few that have evaded me. I also collect other Ys items, like the DVDs, laserdiscs, soundtracks, art books, etc. Anyone else here a huge fan of the series like me?

IMG
IMG
IMG

Also, I have a couple of doubles that I'd like to sell to put towards other games. They are:

Ys Ancient Ys Vanished - missing booklet - $30
Ys III - Wanderers From Ys - includes booklet - $45

If anyone is interested, let me know.

Does look pretty, I'll give it that. I never heard good things about these PS2 versions though, and with no working PS2 emulator, I never thought to inspect or otherwise mess with them back when I was focused on fan translation projects.
Actually, PCSX2 is a PS2 emulator that works really good. I tried Ys III on it and it worked fine. You have to make sure you have the right plugins selected but it works nicely. Ys VI - Ark of Napishtim for the PS2 is a terrible port, done by Konami of all people, so I would recommend avoiding it. Taito did a superb job on Ys III so I would definitely give it a try.

Being the huge Ys fan that I am, I imported Wanderers from Ys for the PS2 and just finished playing through it last night. I've played through the Turbo, SNES, and Genesis ports along with Oath in Felghana previously and I must say that I loved this PS2 port. I'm a huge fan of 2D artwork and it's pretty amazing in this game. Much of it has a painted look to it and the sprites look very nice as well. It was pretty easy though, much easier that the 16-bit versions. The music is also very nice though not quite up to par with the Turbo or Oath in Felghana tracks. The only downside is that there is no English version or translation patch. Of course, anyone who has played Ys III knows the storyline already but it would still be nice to play it in English. I highly recommend this game for any Ys fan.

I pretty much collect anything for the NEC Turbografx 16 and have accumulated some extra manuals and papers for the console that I'd like to sell. If you're like me and want all the paperwork that came with the consoles, well, here's your chance to complete your TG-16 paperwork!!  Check out the pics below. Here are the prices:

Turbografx-16 Console Manual - Near Mint - $8
Turbografx-16 Console Manual - Shows wear and has old TTI phone number written in it - $6
Turbo Stick Manual - Yellow on edge and some damage - $3
Turbografx-16 Product Brochure - Absolute Mint - 4 in stock - $5 each
Turbografx-16 Registration Card - Absolute Mint - 2 in stock - $5 each
Turbografx-16 Cardboard Thank You Insert - lots of creases - $10

Shipping is free EXCEPT for the cardboard insert and larger TG-16 manuals but it wouldn't be much at all. If someone wants them all in one lot I could make a deal. Thanks for looking!!

Ok, so after using an aftermarket AC adapter for my TG16 for a long time I finally found an original AC adapter to use. However, after looking at it I remembered that it looked different from the one I had years ago and it turns out I was right. Apparently there are two different looking TG16 AC adapters, one with a sticker and one with the technical specs stamped into the plastic. The information on them is nearly identical, and both are NTSC, not PAL. Anyone know why there are two versions? Here are two pics for comparison:

Until I do further research, this gets my vote!

Someone should do a google images search (cropped just on the woman's face) to see if we can find the source image!)

I'm at the dentist now, sadly, and can't look up sexy late 80's/early 90's ladies  :pcgs:
She looks like Kelly LeBrock from Weird Science.
