Ok, so I am looking over my copy of Xanadu, and I notice very small fine print below the title on the manual.   It appears to say, "Original Role Playing Game Dragon Slayer VIII"  I am fairly new to imports, just started getting into them this past year or so, and would like some info on this if someone knows.  Does this series tie into Dragon Slayer somehow? :

[Buy/Sell/Trade / [CLOSED] FT: Turbo Duo]

I've recently bought a few USA Turbo Duo units, and have a couple extras.  I'd like to trade one of them for a Supergrafx, boxed if I can get it.  Even better if I could get any games along with the trade, but willing to pay for those if needed.  Basically, the unit I am offering for trade is complete with all cables and has recently had all the caps replaced by forum member Dlite.  This unit is not in hand yet, as it is in the process of being shipped.  After I get it I will hook everything up, be sure everything is ok, and then ship it to whomever if someone wants to trade.  

Another unit I would be willing to trade for is a boxed PC-FX.  But I would prefer the Supergrafx at this time.

The recent give-aways have really encouraged me to start doing things like this myself.  So, I want to start my first one off with a new Retron 3 system, in box.  Basically this system will play all NES,SNES, and Sega Genesis games, including imports.  The console comes with wireless controllers, however I suggest buying the actual controllers for each system.  So, yeah, the console accepts original controllers!!    I have taken this out of the box to test it, and it is fine.  


If you want to try and win this, all I need you to do is reply here that you want it.  I will end the raffle next Monday, and assign each name a number.  My wife will do the drawing, then I will post here who the winner is.  This little console is a lot of fun.  I have one myself.

[Console Repair/Mod Center / HuCard slot cleaning]

Sorry if this has been talked about.  A search of the forums turned up nothing for me.  So, here is my question.

The NES, SNES, and Sega machines that used carts, all had some sort of device one could purchase to clean the contacts in the system itself.  Now, my question is this.  Does anyone have an idea on how we could do this with our HuCard slots?  I dont think I have ever seen something that was meant for this.  If anyone remembers, the device would be in the shape of the cart for whichever machine you were attempting to clean.  Here is one I used to have for my NES.

[PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / Bonk 3 Super CD question]

Hey guys, I have a question for ya.  Before I left to go on vacation, I popped Bonk 3, the Super CD version, into my Duo.  Most CD games, when you do a soft reset by hitting select and run together, will take you back to the Super CD load menu.  I noticed when I did this with Bonk 3 however, that it just went back to the title screen of the game.  Just like it would if it were a Hu Card game.   Is this normal and are there more CD games that reset this way?  Just curious... :

[Console Repair/Mod Center / Duo R CD error]

Hey guys, I recently purchased a Duo R and had some work done to it.  Region mod/RCA jacks.  The units has worked just fine the last few days.  All of a sudden today, when I try to boot a CD game, its asking me to close the CD lid.  Of course its already closed.  I know its gonna be something simple, but I have no clue where to look nor do I have the tool to open the system.  Anyone here have any suggestions?

[PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / Question about PC Engine Hu-Cards]

I have a simple question about the PC Engine Hu-Card games.  Many of the games have a Volume listing in the top right corner.  For example, Ninja Gaiden is Vol.47, Image Fight is Vol.3, Populous us Vol.37, ect..  Now, at first I thought this was the actual number of the game, as they were released.  However, looking at the dates of the games, that doesnt seem to make sense.  Take Image Fight for example.  Its Vol.3, but dated 1990.  Now, knowing the PC Engine was released a few years earlier than that, the number doesnt make sense to me.  It cant be the 3rd game released.  So, Im curious.  What exactly is the Vol. #?  What does it represent?

[PCE/TG-16|CD/SGX Discussion / Need item in "Dragon Slayer"]

Been playing the game Dragon Slayer pretty much a lot lately, and I am now in the final area.  Thing is, I have missed the "lantern" somewhere along the way.  This item proves worthy, since you may use it over and over to light dark areas, unlike a torch that is used only once then is gone.  The last area has a lot of unlit areas, and my torches just arent cutting it.  If anyone knows the location of this item, I would greatly appreciate some direction...

[General Gaming / My next collection!]

So, as the title states....I am looking to start a new collection.  I always liked the Sega Genesis, hell I had one when I was a kid... BUT, I never owned a Sega CD.  I always felt the Duo was a much better system, and for that matter, I still feel the same way.  However, I still am wanting one.  I have been pricing the units, and so far I am leaning towards the JVC X'EYE.  I kinda liked the Sega CD X as well, but the JVC unit appeals to me the most, and they aren't really all that hard on the wallet.  Good thing about this collection, is I dont want every game.  I just want certain ones, and that appeals to my wife as well.  So, looks like I have the green light on this project.     Games I know for sure I will be buying are the RPG's.  I will most likely set it up right next to my PCengine Duo.   

Are there any folks here that mess with this system?  Also, are there any mod services available here at these forums?

EDIT:  I have since purchased this game along with a few others from OSG.  I think I am more excited about the 4n1 Duo pack in than I am the rest of the package tho.
