Assume this is a fix beyond my ability level.

Also not cost effective.  The price of the chip, and the time it takes to replace it, is not worth it when you can pick up a SNES console for $50 or less.

SURPRISE SURPRISE, they are BOTH in the chart as "sold".
These sites are bullshit.

So, because there are a small percentage of non-paying bidders out there, there can be no such thing as a pricing set?  That's what happens when you have algorithms that compile sold data. 

Same thing if a "Complete" game sells with coverless manual or absolutely trashed box to bring the price down.  Or if a Gem Mint copy sells for twice the going rate. 

Those sites are much better resources then some idiot on a forum complaining about how prices used to be and being out of touch with reality today.

Either way, most of it sold within 4 hours of posting so my prices were spot on again.  Find something else to complain about like you always do.

I got my PC Engine 2 days ago. I don't even have any HuCard games or controller yet. I'm also a massive SEGA fan.

I'm just bustin your chops.  Honestly though, you gotta play SF on the PCE.  To me it's by far the one game that really shows off what the little machine can do.  The fact that it runs better than the Genesis version says something.

You get 50 free listings a month, Final fees are 10% or 8% if you get Top-Rated.  There's no reason to give eBay anymore than you need too...

I see.  I am not a top seller unfortunately.  You need to sell over 100 items per year to qualify as well as hit other marks.  I don't sell that much.  It certainly pays to be a top seller I see.  Keep up the great work.

....what's it like to play Street Fighter II on PCE with a 2 button controller? I remember playing it at a friend's house on an Amiga 500, and that only used 1 button! Was a complete nightmare, and it looked like ass too compared to the MD/SNES. Is the PCE version any better made for non-6 button pads?

Just get a six button pad.  Without one it's about the best set up you can get with only two buttons.

I recently tried emulating the Amiga CD32 version of Street Fighter 2 just for fun.  What a piece of garbage.

It took me a while to figure out the proper burning steps too.  The number one issue I came across was the CD image I was using wasn't 100% accurate.  You have to make sure it's 100% accurate or it will not play in your DUO.  Some images that aren't perfect will still play on emulators but not on real hardware.  You need to get Turbo Rip.  It's a sweet little program made by the member Nightwolve.  It will check your image to see if it is legit.  Once you verify you have a legit image then burn it using the free burning program called IMG Burn.  Burn at the slowest speed possible then play in your DUO.  Another issue could be that your DUO will not read CDRs.  Have you ever gotten any CDR to play?  Burn a music CD and see if it plays that for starters.  PM if you want the proper Drac X image.  Good luck.

I like my games harder anyway.  I'll play the US versions.

Vic's version of "harder" is the laziest possible way to make things harder: buff enemy stats, debuff your stats.

Exile isn't that bad though you can really feel the inflated boss health at times - inflated health when coupled with Telenet's typically shoddy programming/design makes for some less-than-ideal situations.

I'm not sure how WP was improved other than some parallax in a few stages - the game is practically un-salvageable in its original state with its awful hit detection and camera placement.

I am happy to try out Popful Mail without the wonky "improvements" (read: not improvements) Working Designs made to the mechanics of the game. Popful Mail is a lot like Silhouette Mirage in that both have fantastic and fitting localizations (minus some bad pop-culture references here and there), but have so many mechanical/design changes in them that are truly baffling and bring down the game in the process.

Ah, yes. That's exactly what I was thinking. You both are absolutely right. That's what I'm going to do. Once I get the console in, ill probably make another post about the condition, and my refurbishing status. Plus, if anything is wrong or if I might need a few pointers. I'm very good at taking stuff apart and fixing it. I've cured 2 PS3 RLOD/YLOD, all myself. But when I was a kid, I never tinkered with my TG16 or the CD attachment for fear of messing it up or not being able to reassemble it properly. It was, of course, before the internet age, I was a kid and my toolset was limited to basic screwdrivers and tweezers.

May I ask how you cured the RLOD/YLOD?  I sent mine out to a repair shop and it was fixed for about a month or so then the same thing happened again.

Man, I have this guy on eBay that has the TG16, controller and all the hookups. Plus he has 14 games with it and most of em are with the cases. He has Bonk, Splatterhouse, Ninja Spirit, R Type, Blazing Lazers, and a bunch other. I made an offer a week ago and he said he is willing to take $275 for it. What do you guys think? He says the system works and is in good condition,  it you never know with that stuff. I just figured id throw that out there on this thread since everyone has been so amazingly helpful from day one. I'm really loving this site, I feel right at home.

Welcome to the forums.  I recommend you get a refurbished PC Engine DUO from a member here.  Best way to jump right in at a good price point.  I have had great success with Keith Courage.  Even better if you get it with a region switch.
