I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't played too much of this game aside from one of the Super NES ports. How good are the SF2 ports on the 1st Capcom Classics Collection?

Some of my favorites:

The Real Bout trilogy
Samurai Shodown II, III, & IV
KOF '97 (I even prefer it over '98)

Just wondering, how good are the newer (2000-onwards) Neo Geo KOF games?

I used to like this system a whole lot when I was a kid, but not anymore. Nowadays, there's only a few N64 games that I still care about.

That being said, I enjoyed Mischief Makers, F-Zero X, Beetle Adventure Racing, & a few other games the last time I had the system plugged in.

Kirby Super Star Ultra is a great remake of the Super NES original. It's probably one of my favorite remakes of all time. It has enhanced graphics & adds a few more games to the mix.

The only downside is that you need two copies of the game to play most of the games in co-op.

Don't give me attitude, like I said I am more then willing to pay the developers for a download iso since they won't print any more
I apologize for getting nasty but no one gives me attitude unless they wanna throw down or get a gun in their face
I love how you made a double post and a triple post. I heard there's a wonderful thing on these forums known as...the edit button.

Yesterday, I started a new file on Gun. Pretty fun GTA clone, but it feels a bit too short. Some of the side missions like the bounty missions & law enforcement were pretty fun too.

Star Ocean 2, just got a new character in my party and I'm trying to remember where to go now.

I haven't played Warzard yet, but it does look interesting. If Capcom can re-release SF3 Third Strike & Jojo's Bizarre Adventure on XBLA & PSN, then there's no excuse why they don't do the same for this game also.

A few weeks ago, I went to a gaming event & picked up:

Nakitek Game Saver for Super NES
Final Fight 2 (SFC, CIB)
Super Mario Kart (SFC, Box & Cart)
Super Puyo Puyo 2 Remix (SFC, CIB)
Wario's Woods (Super NES)
and a Super NES Game Genie.

Today, I got Star Ocean: The Second Story & for being CIB, it was pretty cheap. ($20-30)

Giga Wing is pretty good & probably one of the cheaper DC shooters out there. Also Gunbird 2.

Ah yes, the DC.

I first saw one sometime back in 2000. My brother's friend had Grandia 2 & a few other games and I played them for a little bit. Was pretty fun. My brother remembers the system more than I do though.

Next year, I ended up getting a DC sometime after it was officially discontinued (mid-late 2001?). I remember getting Sonic Adventure 2, Crazy Taxi 2, Spiderman, NBA 2K2, & a few other games. At the time, my local Blockbuster only had a small selection, which I think because they were getting rid of DC stuff. The only games available to rent were Capcom vs. SNK, Sonic Adventure 1, Dead or Alive 2, Power Stone 1, & maybe a few others (Late 2001-Early 2002).

More recently, I don't really care much for the system anymore. It really sucks when you have to get a few arcade sticks because the normal D-pad doesn't cut it, only to find out that they cost an arm & a leg.

Interesting. Could finally be my chance to experience the real Turbo hardware for the 1st time...count me in!  :D

Though I'm not able to stay long enough for the pizza. Oh well.

KOF '98: Ultimate Match, Castlevania: SOTN, & some Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.

Of the two Darius games that I've played (Darius Gaiden & G-Darius), I like G-Darius more. The music & graphics alone make this game breathtaking (of course, that's not to say that the graphics & music of the other games suck).

Fighting Street / Re: Gamestop = FAIL

There was a Gamestop near me that's actually pretty good & much better compared to other Gamestops in the area. All the employees are friendly & I actually got some pretty good deals from there too. The store unfortunately had shut down earlier this year which will end my Gamestop experience.

Sorry for bumping this old thread. Just wanted to add my 2 cents.

Anyways. Even though the N64 aged pretty poorly today, it still holds a special place in my heart. The Gamecube, however, is the 1st system that disappointed the hell out of me during it's lifespan. I got it back in Christmas 2002 & within less than a year, I was already wanting to get a PS2 instead.

The controller is good for quite a few games, but it's just a hassle playing any fighters or even some Game Boy games with it. The small D-pad & the weird button placement & size is guilty of this.

Some genres on the Gamecube aren't represented much better than on the N64. There was like, only one 2D fighter on the system (not including the ones in compilations.) The shoot em' ups were still poorly represented. Besides Ikaruga & Chaos Field, there just wasn't much else. The RPG library on Gamecube isn't much better than on the N64. The only ones that were noteworthy are Tales of Symphonia & maybe Lost Kingdoms 1 & 2.

what would it be?

Barring Starfox 2, I would probably like to have either the Super Mario World or Super Mario 64 beta.

NEC Console Resource / Hi, guys!

Hi, guys. This is marktheshark here. I've registered here a long while ago, but I've completely forgotten about this place until now.

Anyways, I first heard about the TG-16/PC Engine back in 2006 when Hudson announced plans to bring over the TG-16 games to the Wii Virtual Console. At the time, I had no idea that the system existed before then. A few years later, I got a few PC Engine games from the VC including Star Parodier, Y's Book I & II, & Bomberman '94. After seeing the library of games, I can say that the PC Engine is my favorite 16-bit console second only to the Super NES.I'm planning on getting either a TG-16, PC-Engine or a Turbo-Duo later on. I have a few questions however.

1. How do you get past the region lock in a Turbografx-16?

2. Is the Turbo-Duo region locked as well as the TG-16 CD unit?

3. What are some cheap, but good games for both the TG-16 & the CD unit?
