Great dude to deal with. Bought a bunch of games off him awhile ago and they were packaged super well.
Hope all is well across the pond, holmes!

Quote from: NecroPhile on 01/20/2016, 09:53 AMBomberman tournaments?Oof, way too many suicides for me to put a ring on it. Yowza.
Quote from: tbone3969 on 01/14/2016, 02:30 PMWow sounds legit. I am skeptical because I have been hearing about VR coming out soon for over 20 years now but it seems we may be on the verge of it actually happening. So cool.Totally hear you, and I completely agree. I remember back in the NES days, some company released an HMD and was absolutely terrible. 2 extremely low quality screens in front of each eye, and it weighed a ton. Years later, I remember going to North Pier in downtown Chicago to the VR space next to the arcade that was located there (across from Battletech) and played Dactyl Nightmare. It was really cool, but again it wasn't the highest quality and made me nauseous as fuck.
Quote from: johnnykonami on 11/23/2015, 10:48 PMHoly shit, I totally forgot about that game. I used to love the hell out of it. Nice pick up!
There's still a ton of GB games left for me to pick up but the good news is the prices are pretty reasonable. I think I will cool it though for now since Christmas is coming up!
Quote from: MNKyDeth on 11/17/2015, 01:14 PMI love Phantasy Star.... I just wanted to mention that the Phantasy Star 2 you have there is not complete.Oh shit, I didn't even realize that. Thanks a ton for pointing that out. Last thing I would want to do is trade someone something that wasn't what I said it was. I'll double check when I get home and update the post if that indeed the case.
Everything looks original but the game came with it's own hint guide. I do not see that in the pic. It even specifies that it is included right on the box. However I do see that you have the map.
I don't mean to be a douche about it just pointing it out.
Quote from: NightWolve on 11/06/2015, 07:12 AMSold off Legend of Xanadu when fan translation patches could see the light of day some time next year ?? Tsk. ;)Not to go off on a side Chicago convo or anything, but Lincoln Square represeeeennnt!
I'm interested in Xak I & II. When I went to check for eBay price ranges, I actually found your eBay listing for it! You're in Chicago ? I was gonna make you an offer, but if you're willing, I could pick it up from you and save on shipping if you're not too far. I'm also in Chicago!
Quote from: MNKyDeth on 10/29/2015, 11:15 AMI know I am replying a lot here but yeah toymachine Saisons are usually very good imo. The few Belgium beers I have tried are Hoegaarden ? and Leffe. Both were solid although Leffe had a hard after taste. The first two beers were a bit hard to drink but after that they went down easy peasy lol.Have you tried both Leffe Blonde and Leffe Brune? I greatly prefer the brune over the blonde.
Quote from: vmorr on 10/26/2015, 11:34 AMI feel like some of the lego games are definitely better than others. The Indiana Jones and initial Batman games were kind of eh to me.Quote from: guest on 10/26/2015, 11:25 AMSaturday's mail brought me a copy of Lego Hobbit for the Vita.I always pass on the Lego games cause they make like 10 of them a year. They're supposed to be pretty fun though yea?
Quote from: EvilEvoIX on 10/24/2015, 12:12 AMI visited this place called "People Play Games" In Chicago, and my god they had everything. So many rare copies from pretty much every system. Spider Man Web of Fire 32X in the box, $1,000.00. Everything they had was just overpriced, extremely overpriced, I mean double eBay pricing. IDK how they stay in business but they had boxed, unopened NES games by the Dozen and unopened Final Fantasy SNES games and so on.I used to go to that store a ton and bought a whole boatload of crap over the years. I definitely agree though that the rare stuff there can be on the ridiculous side price-wise. The owner and his dad are nice, though I have friends who have commented on the owner acting rude at times (that's never been my experience though). Outside of the rare stuff behind glass, you can usually find some stuff at decent prices.
I rummaged around and got some cheap knick knacks.
Very cool store but couldn't really buy anything in there.
Quote from: Sinizar on 10/22/2015, 12:06 PMNo response yet from the person selling these. Anyone know if he is still making them? It doesn't seem that long ago that people were getting them.I'm not complaining or anything since I know how real life has this tendency to be an asshole and get in the way of things, but I also sent a message about a week ago or so and never heard back as well...
Quote from: Lost Monkey on 10/12/2015, 11:03 AMSounds great. I will definitely check that place out if I am ever in the area.Pinball HOF is my favorite place in Vegas. It was one of the few things that initially made living there tolerable. Ice Cold Beer and Cactus Canyon were/are my jaaaaam.
We spent 9 days in Vegas this summer and the best time I had (by far) was spending a few hours at the Pinball Hall of Fame. It took forever to blow through $20 in there...
Quote from: johnnykonami on 10/08/2015, 05:05 PMOh man, I wanted one of those back in the day, but I guess the selling point of watching DVDs as well has long passed. As much as loved the GC, I never even got a standard one. I have to rectify that one day. I worked with them every day for years when I was a tester, I guess that's why I didn't jump on it.It was one of those consoles I always wanted when I saw it announced back when I was in college. In all honesty, I already have a modded one so I'm passing the console on to a buddy of mine for dirt cheap. I really just wanted the box and packaging, along with the complete game boy player.
Quote from: majors on 10/08/2015, 12:18 PMSlightly less is fine by me.Quote from: sn0zc0r3 on 10/07/2015, 09:13 AMI used to frequent the neo-geo boards a ton back in the daySo you'll be right at home here...just slightly less drama/hate here. And total lack of punctuation police and grammer cops.
Brookfield, WI is not that far...think about MGC.
Quote from: johnnykonami on 10/07/2015, 06:27 PMI think I prefer mustard on my hot dogs, but ketchup is fine too. I also like pickles, cole slaw, chili, and other fancy pants ingredients too. Pickles and cole slaw is a Chicago dog I think, right?A whole dill pickle slice and relish, with some celery salt, onions, sweet peppers, and tomato slices (though I get mine with tomato and peppers).
Quote from: wildfruit on 10/08/2015, 02:49 AMWelcome! You HEATHEN.
Also ketchup ONLY.
Thanks.
Quote from: esteban on 10/07/2015, 06:11 PMWelcome, comrade.I was with you up until the soy. But hey, you go be you.
Jalapeños and sauerkraut on a hotdog with mustard (and ketchup). Make that a soy dog.
Word up.
Quote from: Bloufo on 10/07/2015, 12:30 PMGuardian Heroes.Set me back $120 shipped.
I'm after one of those myself. May I ask how much that set you back?
QuoteUnderrated device. Definitely looks to have some decent power under the hood.I remember playing with one a few times at a store downtown and fell in love with the design and feel of it. Being a broke college student at the time kept that love under lock and key though.
I'll look to see what emulators I can load on it.
Quote from: Gredler on 10/07/2015, 11:42 AMAgreed with everyone. I grab games I've either always wanted to play or games that hold special meaning to me these days. I got carried away years ago, but I've slowly (slowly) started selling off or trading stuff to people and dramatically shrinking down my collection. Fuck it's been hard parting with some of this shit though.Quote from: guest on 10/07/2015, 07:59 AMAVP blew my mind back in the day... and I have NEVER cared for FPS games. AVP didn't age all that well, but it was an awesome experience for the time period like senor Monkey de Losto points out.Picking between the jag and the n64 sounds like the worst possible "Would you rather" game ever. Please don't make me play either.
Next to Silent Debuggers, nothing tops the suspense and "oh shit" factor of hearing a cloaked predator clicking or whispering.
I would pick a Jagwire over a Nintendon't 64 any day. Anyone who doesn't agree is a french whore with lengthy armpit hair.
Quote from: Bloufo on 10/06/2015, 11:16 AMThe home button doesn't always work. That's on me, though. When I changed the battery (the replacement just won't fit all that comfortably seeing as that new battery is a little longer and thicker) I reckon I must have inadvertently caused some issue in there.Maaaaaaan, super jealous. Always wanted to pick up a Tapwave.
No biggie, though. In any case, the unit has touch-screen capabilities, so in most instances I'm able to exit to "home" via that touch-screen.
