Don't forget Facebook or Twitter, making visible our once somewhat obscure hobby.

Yes, there were forums before FB/TW, but you know it's not the same.

Well, thanks again Lost Monkey, I checked my CD and looks like yours; mine is a FABT BTW.

And thanks NightWolve for your input too.

So look at a picture? Supposedly PCEWorks (Tobias) puts his logo on everything he counterfeits.
Yes of course, looking at a picture is a solution; the PCE logo thing is something clearly identifies the counterfeit. If the only counterfeits that exists of the game are the Tobias', then I'm OK, mine's OG.

But are there any oher known fake copies, Tobias aside? Where the differences with the original are less obvious?
I don't think there are any besides Tobias copies - there were a lot of originals sold.. unlike say Sapphire...

I will take a scan of the center ring of my Dracula X tonight (in about 12 hours...) and post it here for you to look at.
And here it is:

<snippy>

There are other variations, (FACT, FABT), but it should look something close to that...
Ohh thank you sir, really nice, as soon as I get home I'll check my copy for my peace of mind.

That bootleg you're talking about, is it clearly dintinguishable from the original?

Is it an original? Buyable? I've never been in that webpage, don't know how it works.

What do yo mean "high class"?

No probs at all, man.

I wonder what I would do if I encounter somebody with an unreleased prototype of MSX2, plattform unknown to me.

How could I know if it is real or fake.
How could I decide a price to buy it.
Then decide to sell it. For how much.
Where to engage with possible buyers.
How to agree again on a price. A monthly payment.

Just wondering.

Hey some friend of mine gave me as a souvenir a 2$ bill, he found it at a reservation casino in Seattle! What a coincidence. There were just two 2$ bills, man TWO bills in the whole casino, these bills must be scarce.

AFAIK the letter A corresponds to Taiwan. No letter, Japan. So IF30 = IF30A in terms of electrical characteristics.

I'm in a similar case, I have a suitcase but no adapter, I was thinking about using a Megadrive adapter BUT it doesn't reach the 1450ma, so not possible.

You must use a 9V output, or 12V, but at least it must give 1450ma. Center positive, same plug size.

As for using original vs new equipment, I'll be using (when I find one) the original one instead those new switching adapters.

Quote from: schweaty on 05/21/2015, 04:23 PMif you can find one, i'm a fan of the Micomsoft XE-1 Pro.  only PCE stick i really like
I tried to find one for months and gave up. I eventually got a PS2 Namco arcade stick that I use on the PCE with a small adapter. Really nice for STG. Visual novels, RPG, Action/Adventure/RPG etc are nicer with a pad though.

Is the V2 the new, RAM based one?

Edit: oops I've just read the other thread.

To sell 400 games together is almost impossible, unless you make some osom discount.

Quote from: julencin2000 on 05/15/2015, 12:32 PMAfter a bad experience with a switching power supply (introduced electrical interferences in my SFAMICOM) I don't think I'm buying anything different than original regulated power supplies and, in my case, a stepdown.
Ouch. What type did you use? Did you make sure the voltage and amperage were exact?
Well, it has the exact voltage but gives a little more A than the SF needs, so it's ok in terms of characteristics. At the beginning I thought my PVM was having the failure, then I changed the power adapter for a generic brick and voilĂ , no noise into the image. Here I saw myself saying "what the frak, stepdown and end of story".

Now the effin switcher is somewhere in the just-in-case-bin.

Finally I found a decent priced CD unit, I was told that gear fixable, so a gear is in its way too.

Oh well, I was checking in the thread to tell you that I got a Complete CD and to delete me from the raffle, but I see I wasn't  #-o

It's OK, I know I'm new. Good luck to all of you and kudos for this raffle, OP.

Traditionally Europeans have always been willing to pay more, mostly due to ignorance.
There must be a lot of research backing up this affirmation.
It would be interesting to see this research.
Indeed.
