The seller is a guy who's his collection...for top dollar. He e-mailed a few times wanting sell his stuff cutting the middleman out, so to speak. The prices he gave me were as horrendous as the Ebay store sellers. He wanted his Cotton for $150.

lol..i don't really speak french, but since in my homecountry (which is switzerland) we have 4 national languages represented, which are (swiss-)german, french, italian and romansh (just some few), therefore we also have french lessions since the elementary school, for those who live in the german part of swiss like i did.

so since i didn't use french for about the past 16 years, a forgot a lot about. thought i'm still able to read it with an understanding of about 70% (depends on the topic), i have no chance to conversate anymore (honestly, never really did ). read a lot mangas and watched animes in french language back in the time, since those french where much more and much earlier into yhat stuff than the germans were.

I've always been torn about where my priorities lie...I mean, if I didn't already have Dynastic Hero, and I could afford it at $575, and I hadn't seen one in a year, and the last one I saw had a BIN of $800, then I'd most likely buy it.

Some of you loyals of the old TZD probably knew this already, but they had an unwritten policy where if you had been a good customer for years, and they knew that you were really going to play these games (and not just turn them on Ebay), and you made them an offer, they would sell you some of the supposedly "sold out" rare games.

But you had to make the first offer. You'd have to call or email and say something like "I cannot find Dynastic Hero anywhere...if you guys had any spare copies, or you knew where I could get one, I'd gladly pay $500 for it."

I had a deal like that in January of 2007. I was looking to get all the rare titles, so I asked them if I could buy a bundle that included:

-Magical Chase
-Cotton
-Beyond Shadowgate
-Terraforming
-Valis II (not particularly rare, but they had it, so I put an offer on it).

I put in an offer (it was probably a lot more than most of you would have thought reasonable) and they accepted.

It was perfectly timed; I used my semiannual bonus at work to pay for the order. They were about the same amount!

I myself have never left North America, but my wife has family there. I will have to find out where, so you can say, "Oh! Yeah, that's a nice area." or "Switzerland is a lot bigger than you realize."

I did the same thing. Unfortunately, I can't get past the sphinx that asks 4 or 5 questions in Japanese. The questions are never asked in the same order. If you get the first one wrong=game over. Second one wrong=warps you to the entrance of the dungeon and you have to make your way to him again (annoying). Third one wrong=warps you to the entrance of his room (not a big deal just re-enter the room). That is as lucky as I have gotten with these questions and haven't played it since.

The game is fun and has awesome music.

That wasn't me that purchased that $460 Magical Chase I purchased the last one, which was $429. Then the seller refunded $40 due to the fact that the manual was not mint as stated. Then someone purchased that manual off of me for $60. So, in actuality, I spent $330 on the hucard. Wish I could have purchased one cheaper, but I did what I did to complete by hucard collection...and I did. No regrets here I love the TG16!

Unbelieveable...and another bar skyrockets to a new high. Just when I think these people can't get any lower, someone tosses them a shovel and they sink deeper and deeper. If you're going to buy a rare and expensive game, be smart about it or have the patience. I'm sure the guy would eventual lower his price and save some cash on the side, so that our Turbo OCD can actually buy something other than Johnny Turbo for his darling kids Bimmy and Jimmy.

The NES version in my opinion was an insanely hard, under-programmed, steaming pile of crap. The concept was awesome, with all the characters, but Chin and the Shinobi guy were totally underdeveloped and the gameplay (to me) was bulky, frustrating, and less than fun.

 NES and PCe DDII was awesome though; I still find myself making midnight runs on that game from time to time.
