so, what would you say is the very best of the best bomberman games on pce?  first and foremost, which has the very tightest and responsive controls?  i know they're relatively close to one another, but there must be some subtle difference tucked away in one of them that puts it on the ace.  outside of control, as an overall package, which is the very best?

Bomberman '94 is definitely the best of the three (no point in counting the taikenbans seperately).  Its levels are less rigidly laid out, its backgrounds are more detailed, and the kangaroos add an extra dimension to the game play.  Its multi-player mode also offers more than the previous two games, in that it includes the aforementioned kangaroos (but not on all maps), allows team play, and lets you customize your character (pointless waste of time in my book, but some people value such shenanigans).

Bomberman '93 is ma fav!

- best and driving BGM from part one
- not to much over-item'd
- still kept simple as BM should be, but with all the necessary items (e.g. bomb kicker..).

for multi player definitely BM'93
for single player probably BM'94

Sega does what Nintendon't, but only NEC does better than both together!^^

This is how I feel, but I haven't played any human vs human battle mode in BM'94 yet and it's been a long time since I completed the BM'93 story mode. If I had gotten to play BM'94 back in the day, it might've become my favorite, but since I didn't I'm still hooked on BM'93. :)
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

Bomberman '94 without a doubt. BM '93 was cool, but '94 just really improves upon it. That said, Saturn Bomberman (got a US release too) is awesome. That and '94 are my favorite 2D bomberman games.

Bomberman 94 then follow by 93.

I'd say 93 is the best- the kangaroos in 94 kind of slow down a multiplayer battle- and make it a little too silly.
