WHITE PCE Trouble

Hello,
My PCE is broken I think well I was playing through RF on my TV and it for some reason started to catch radio channels... So I took it to my new LCD and plugged it in another AC Adapter(same specs) and it does not seem to be able to find the pce channel so I move it back to the old tv and the system does nolonger work no picture nothing...

Did I somehow destroy my system or the the RF thingy in the console die

you sure its the right ac adapter and you didn't reverse polarity and fry stuff??

ive had RF issues before as well.

unfortunately since there is no power indicator you can't tell if its properly turning on....

As dumb as this sounds, try plugging the RF directly to the TV. No other connections to the TV, just the PC Engine, and power it on.

My one Turbo grafx for whatever reason, would not work unless it was the only thing plugged in. If I plugged the cable from the wall for cable TV, the picture would go out...

If the AC adapter didn't have the same center polarity it could have blown the internal PCE fuse. I'm not certain, but I think it's a type that you can visually see if it's blown so you could open the unit and inspect the fuse.

That's where I'd start.

Yes I think I plugged it in negative or vice versa polarity damn
Well I have opened the system how can I see if the fuse is broken its still in shape not cracked or sumtin

Is it a glass/tube looking fuse? If so, look very closely and see if you can see a wire or strand inside. Normally the wire will be broken if it's blown.

Its shaped like a tube and YES the WIRE is broken so where can I get a new fuse and is there a specific "model" of the fuse I need

When replacing a fuse is it just solder and go?

edit above the fuse it says fsb101 1a 125v

Any electronics store. I got my fuses at an auto parts store; Kragen or Bumper to Bumper.

Which dimensions are there on the PCE fuses?

All I can find is 5x20mm and 6x32mm which one is the correct one??

You have your PCE sitting right in front of you. Don't you have a ruler?

Or you can buy a few of both and return one. Always good to have an extra backup fuse. Make sure you get the correct amperage/voltage, and swap that AC adapter!

The shop where I am going to buy here are the fuses
500mA    .
    800mA
1A
    1,25A
1,6A
    2A
   2,5A
   3,15A
   4A
   5A
   6,3A
   10A

according to this which said above the fuse on my PCE
1a 125v I am supposed to buy the 1A though it says 250V on these due to me being PAL will this fuse work?

also there are 2 different types of fuse Something called fast and slow fuse

oh and how strong soldering iron will I need?
