I'm back after a few year hiatus

After maybe 3 years or so!

I haven't really read many threads yet, so I'm not sure how many of you guys from then are still around. If anyone remembers me, I was doing s-video and region mods for a bit. I saw that you're still posting Tatsujin, if you remember me.

Anyhow, I moved from the US to Japan to study (which has taken up all my time/money and kept me from the boards). My PC Engine stuff has been resting back in the states all this time, all snug in boxes. Fast forward to two days ago when I picked up a disgusting looking white PC Engine in a junk box for ￥500 (roughly $5). Well, looks like i'm back

Is it possible for a white PCE to look disgusting? Sounds like it just needs a little RetroBath!

Actually, I'm still in Japan. I'll probably remain here for a long while. I've only had a poor students life here so far, so i'd like to stay for a while after I graduate.

Check it out in all it's glory.

And, after a little scrubbing. It's actually not as white as in these pics. It's kind of a nice cream color, not like some that look like they've been peed on. It doesn't match the hucards though, so I gotta whiten it. Either that, or buy only yellowed hucards

What's that RetroBath stuff you're talking about, rag-time4?

What's that RetroBath stuff you're talking about, rag-time4?

The name of the stuff is 'RetroBrite' ... I'm not really an expert on it, as I haven't done it myself yet. Henry and Blueraven, among others, have first hand experience with it.

The Duo is alive and very well, thank you. Still running on the original laser like it rolled off the assembly line yesterday.

WB grahf i remember "kicking myself" for missing out for when you did offer pce mods.Though in the end duo_r took care of that problem and modded my,duo-r any ways
