Pretty impressive that someone was able to do this, but the hardware alone cost $160. I can only imagine the number of hours he's put into this to get basically an emulator without sound...

If he could make something like those little devices that looked like Atari 2600 but included something like 20 games and be able to sell them for $30 or $40, I'd be all over it.

I actually think its very cool!!!! I think its awesome that he made it from scratch. Hopefully he will get the sound workin. Thats a killer project........ I would like to make my own for fun.

Unless you're no uberpro in FPGA programming, to own such a kit wouldn't give you much sense. OR, are you an uberpro in FPGA programming?

I would totally buy one at the right price. I wonder what kind of modern day controllers and joysticks could be used on this? I'm sure a clear controller with more internal l.e.d. lights would match well.
