10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! I helped edit/betatest and it's also a game I actually finished in 2023, yaaay! Shubibiman also did a French localization. github.com/dshadoff/DeadoftheBrain

Finished up the Steam-Heart's video and placed that on YouTube:
Made it through the first two stages without too much difficulty, surprisingly, though I did bump the game's difficulty down a notch from where I normally play it.  As I mentioned in the Mystic Formula thread, I had to edit the cut scenes and boil them down to the "highlights" since YouTube probably wouldn't take too kindly to the originals, but for the most part the screens are intact with some added pixelation.

Now less someone is dying to see Flash Hiders I'll probably start capturing some videos for some other systems for a bit.

Later.

awack

Its cool of you to be doing this.

There are some cool things about Steam Hearts..it has good soundfx, enemies can throw allot of bullets at you, some of the Bosses are neat with nice animations, like the second Boss in the video, it does start to get very difficult latter in the game though.

Otaking

Cheers, will check out the video.  :D

Quote from: some block off youtubeIn one episode, Dodongo c-walks out of a convenience store with a 40 at 7:40 AM, steals an arcade machine from an auction, haggles in Spanish for a stuffed papa smurf to use as a sex toy, and buys Secret of Mana for a dollar.
