12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

There are two games I've never seen or heard of on the hit-japan ebay store atm....Jyantaku Knight and Jyashin Legend (pics and links below). I can't find any infos on these anywhere it seems, but I know hit-japan sometimes misspells some of the titles. I'd like to know whether either of these titles would be worth checking out. I usually hop on obscure titles anyways but these seem to be a little pricey....thanks for any info!

Just found the 2nd one....Jyashin Legend is actually Quest of Jongmaster, a mahjong (ugh) RPG.

here's the listing for the first game at pc engine bible ...looks like it's also a mahjong game....hmm at least the second one is an Arcade CD title tho so it should be interesting!

Both of these can also be found much cheaper with patience.

Thanks guys I appreciate the info on these. It's too bad though...I'm not too into the mahjong titles. Was hoping for some obscure RPG action, so may pickup Star Breaker instead.

Something tells me you have negative experience with Mahjong :P

Those are two of the most disappointing covers--->Games ever.

If you judge game by cover you get the ultimate disappointment.

I am not a fan of Mahjong.

If you like Mahjong, they're both OK.  Certainly not worth getting an arcade card for second one though
This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

Yeah, first one looks straight like an RPG and the second like some action game of the Valkyrie/Valis variety.

I never even learned how to play Mahjong, to be honest :P

Yeah I've never played Mahjong either...I hear it's actually quite addicting.

The Brothers Duomazov wrote up a pretty good review for Mahjong Sword...may have to give it a try: http://www.thebrothersduomazov.com/2010/02/mahjong-sword-princess-quest-gaiden.html
