there's better character selection in 4.  it was stupid of them to make the story so many years later, and take characters out of SC that have been there since Soul Edge.  The levels are better in 5 though.  A lot more well thought out as opposed to tower after tower levels.  As with all 3d fighting games though they get old quick.

^sc 5 is the first sc game i have taken competitively. I really enjoy it. its a nice change from the 2d fighters im used to.
