@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

That's the one from Nintendo Power right? Pretty decent (especially for a NP comic). Certainly better than the Super Mario Bros. comic they were running concurrently. I remember as a teenager resenting those comics in NP since I'd rather they devoted the pages to game coverage, but when I went back as an adult I enjoyed reading them (well, I enjoyed the Zelda comic, still didn't like the Mario one).

If you want true classic game comics...you must see The Adventures of Atarian from Atarian magazine. Pure cheese and borderline racist with the bucktoothed Japanese villians led by Ninja-endo.

This isn't a Nintendo Power comic at all. Sure, they used it, but this is originally a Japanese comic. The American NP Zelda comics were awesome, though.

They localized this comic and used parts of it in a Swedish Nintendo-magazine. Sadly, they stopped making that magazine and I never got to read the ending of it.

I found it online a few years ago, though - and I was very disappointed by the ending. I had HUGE expectations back when it was new, he he.  :)

Will download it again. A PDF is more convenient than a folder with hundreds of JPEG-images. :)
Quote from: Seldane on 04/21/2007, 07:28 PMDVDs are for suckers. Illegally pirated and stolen videos all the way. No menus. No "DO NOT PIRATE THIS!" screens. No fuss. Only perfection. I honestly only pirate movies because that "don't pirate this" screen annoys me.

Indeed, it's AV time. Check out: IMG! Sir, the door was open.

Oh, I've read all of those. They are AWESOME. They ooze "classic" American comic in style, characters and story. Almost as awesome as the Radio Shack comics!

I loved all the NP comics... except for post-howard 'Nester's adventures'.

Does anybody remember that Game Boy comic? The main character was a made-up guy (human) who ended up in some world filled with Super Mario Land characters. It was pretty strange, but also interesting.
