REAL LIFE Metroid - Power Suit, Metroid Hatchling+

So lately I've been taking a break from working on video game systems, to work on video game themed props and costumes for Youtube videos. Currently I've been dealing with some Metroid props and thought I'd share a few teaser photos. Let me know what you all think!

- A very talented Cosplayer named Kelly Johnson created the Power Suit (sans helmet and LED lighting). She's the one wearing the suit.

Thanks for the compliments everyone  I've put a lot of hours of work into these, so I'm happy to see that others appreciate them!

To answer some of the questions:

Oh they're delicious I assure you... As long as you like to eat polymer clay that is. For whatever reason Metroids always have three of those little brains in there, so that's how many I made.

Hmm... the robot from Keith Courage would be fun, but as you said I think a lot of people wouldn't get it. Bomberman would be cool, but a lot of people have already done that and done it well.

A PC Engine system would be doable, but a little more comedic than what I think I'd like.

Here are my thoughts at the moment - popular games that I love that I haven't seen good recreations of:

- Bonk
- Lords of Thunder
- Splatterhouse

Very VERY cool! I hope your Samus model was born with about 300 extra joints so when she morphs into a ball it doesn't kill her.  Seriously though, are you making a morph ball prop? You could probably easily get it to roll by putting a remote control car inside it. They made a car that can flip upside down while continuing to drive.

My vote would be for the alpha suit, Splatter house would be super easy and Bonk could be confused with any other caveman. A friend and I we're thinking about making an Isaac Clark and Necromorph costume for halloween this year.
