A friend of mine from Japan just picked up a really cool magazine called 'PC Engine Perfect Collection 378'. He was kind enough to take some pics of the magazine which I thought I'd share here as it looks rather interesting.

It seems to have some nice pages dedicated to hardware, as well as reviews and cheats for various HuCard and CD games.

P.s. Said friend runs a blog about retro collecting in Japan if anyone is interested: https://www.supergaijinultragamer.org/

Wow!  I want this magazine!  Thanks for sharing.

Is this an old magazine or something new?  Where can we find em.  It looks great!

Firebomber7

I'd say new. SuperD, Tats, Fox? Care to hook us all up? :)

Found this

A delightful guide for the Engine head with a foreward containing a few nice CD Rom titles and the main bulk containing synopsises of the various Hu Card titles broken down into genres. Great for the completist and sadly not available in English language, but even not being able to read it there are sufficient screen shots and scans to savour.

Publisher: Shogakukan

I want one of these too, anyone know anywhere they're still available?

Thanks for sharing Frank

It's not new, it was published in 1991, so is only up to date with games up until that point.

Yeah, my friend is a PC Engine nut as well, I love the wall of HuCards too! :)

you can see that already at the SFC proto pics with the red buttons. lol.

also that it only carries 378 games, which was the amount of released games at the time the book was made.

He's signed up, just waiting for account approval. Seems to take a while for new members to be approved.

Hi guys!

I'm the owner of that milky white hand turning the pages there (probably too much time indoors).  :D

I've been collecting PCE stuff pretty hard for the past few years, and I have just started to sell off a heap of other game related gear to fund the HuCard completion.  Happy to meet you all!

I have one like that (PC Engine All Catalog), but published in '93 - see the covers here: http://www.pcengine.co.uk/omake/omake.htm

Very nice!  I will take a few pics of the other PCE books I have when I get a chance, but this one (pictured above) is my favourite so far.

By the way, your site is great (PCE Bible)!  I have used it countless times when looking for new titles to buy.

Welcome to pcengine-fx.com!

Maybe you can create an introduction thread in the discussion board and tell us a bit about yourself and your collection.

Oh oh! I know you, welcome to this community! :)
Since you picked up that Duo-R a while back, you coming here was probably just a matter of time ;)

NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)
BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere. You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

Hey Ji! I would have been here earlier if I'd known there was a dedicated PCE forum.  I am so damn addicted to collecting for the PCE!

Thanks for the welcome guys.  I will definitely post in the intro thread when I get a chance later.
