Another half-assed videogame article from no-nothing wannabe reporters.

For giggles, here's some ignored launch prices with adjusted values:

TG-CD  -   $400 / $690 adj.  (plus cost of console)
TurboDuo  -  $300 / $580 adj.
Sega CD  -  $300 / $580 adj.  (plus cost of console)
Sega CDX  -  $400 / $624 adj.
Laseractive w/ either pac  -  $1570 ($970 + $600) / $2450 adj.

I bought a ps3 near launch for the princely sum of £425 in 2007 which adjusted for inflation is about £500 in today's money. (About $800)
And it broke just out of warranty

Canadian prices were inflated worse than they should have been during the <32-bit generations. Now that our dollar hovers around par with the U.S. dollar, it really puts things in perspective. The Turbo-CD was $900 around my hometown early on, which is $1400 in today's dollars.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

Quite sure the Car Marty wins the award for most expensive console ever.   It was over $4,000 when it was new, and you still needed to buy the Home Kit or Car Kit to hook it up.
