2/13/2025: Localization News - Cosmic Fantasy 3-4!

Rather earth-shattering news in the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 community: Cosmic Fantasy 3 & 4 has been officially localized to English by Edia 30 years later for the Switch! Hard to believe! I know their script quality is poor given the 1&2 port but still good to see.

Outrun isn't arcade perfect, but it's a damn good port, probably the best until the Saturn one came along.

sure it can't be arcade perfect..and it also is far far away from being that. but comparing the two hardwares, it also doesn't really surprise. nevertheless, the PCE port was amazing for its time and showed who's 8-/16-bit Boss.

btw. the saturn port even surpasses its arcade pendant with adding a full 60fps mode, which makes the game such smooth, you never want go back to 30fps again once you experienced it.

Except F-1 Pilot: You're King of Kings.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

Yep, me too. Plus you hardly see what opponents are ahead of you, making you crash into them. Well, at least when I play on the LT...

I actually find it easier to see opponents ahead of you in Victory Run compared to similar games, since the game has such nice rolling hills. Of course this is mostly based on TV play.

Victory run has such awkward cornering physics that its retarded, You never actually turning on the plain of the road like every other racing game in existence, It looks pretty nice and i love the changing lighting but this cornering ruins it, Outrun obviously brilliant and a must purchase but it isn't a racing sim none of these are the closest you will get is F1 Circus.

YOU SAY: Victory Run is boring and cornering is atypical/lame.

THE PARIS-TO-DAKAR RALLY REPLIES: The strategy involved in choosing car parts, based not only on your driving style, but on the road conditions as well (sand, savannah, etc.), adds some enjoyable management challenges to an otherwise standard Rad Racer clone.

I happen to love Rad Racer and it's ilk, so Victory Run is a more cerebral/challenging variation. Keep in mind: if the parts-management aspect of VR was poorly implemented, I wouldn't be pleased. I think parts-management was executed properly: you can get through the first few races without being too thoughtful...but if you want to progress to the last few stages, let alone beat the game, you have to be pretty damn careful with how you plan things. This, to me, is the perfect balance: allow newbies to worry mostly about driving skills...later, the parts-management becomes crucial (in addition to ramping up the driving challenge).

Rad Racer is brilliant Victory run is not, I do play it from time to time but its no Rad Racer its just that stupid cornering physic.
