There is also a TG-16 hard shell case (not the CD-Rom one).

jelloslug

There is a DUO Tap, a DUO Tap with Turbo wire and a TurboTap with Duo wire.

tggodfrey

Were the Duo Taps with TG16 wire and Turbo tap with Duo wire just Turbo Zone Direct modifications?  I dont ever see those sold till after TZD took over.
Games currently in play:
PS3: COD Ghosts
TG16: Boxyboy

CrackTiger

No TurboGrafx-16 book will be complete without a photo of the screw-on Bonk Head joystick ball.

Yes, they were never manufactured like that, which is why they sold the Turbo-to-Duo adapter in stores.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

For this list I'm only looking for 1st party items. I thought about 3rd party stuff, but decided against it.
Edited original post to include the extra items mentioned. Thanks!

There are two variations of the hard case. I think the main difference being one had more space for games, and lacked space for the Booster. I have the one with space for a connected booster. I have a pic somewhere of the other style.

I got mine from a rental store, I think they were intended for rental TG-16 systems.

*edited to add;

I just looked on ebay, someone there is selling a case in Canada, wants $200 for it

Anyway, that is one variation, and after noticing that shiny sticker on the interior of the case, I figured that was a store's sticker. Reading the description, the seller mentions it was used at a rental store in Canada.

The other variation, the system sits with the rear of the booster near the hinges, the space up front of the case is used for the AC adapter, and the side of the case has spaces for controllers, tap, and 5 or so games.

*also, I need to add.

I forgot, some of those hard cases don't have molded plastic inside, but foam.
"Damnit, Beavis, put that away. You're not supposed to have your _____ out when you're cooking".

bob

Dont forget those neon gaming gloves.
What about promo items?  The splatterhouse halloween kit.

.
I was thinking that was an item used just for rental as well. That is the only time I ever saw those items. I see quite a few on eGouge right now.

LOL I totally forgot about those. I used to have some Lime Green ones I think they had the Nintendo logo on them.

The "System Card" is not an accessory and was only sold packed-in with the Turbo-CD and it doesn't have any packaging.

The accessories you have listed as "TurboDuo" are actually titled "Duo", like DuoPad and DuoTap.

neutopia6

I've also got a boxed Turbo Express Car Charger you can add to the list, I'd post a picture but this site won't allow jpegs or pictures of a certain size lol.

CrackTiger

I still have my official TE car charger. My local Radio Shack never got the first party AC adaptor, so I bought the Tandy brand one.

Though the system card may have not been an accessory with a box it was still an important part of the Turbo history. The hard case that came with the CD system also does not have a box, but I still consider it an accessory.

DragonmasterDan

There's another official Turbo Express carrying case called the "Caddy Pack".

There also exists a third party AC adapter for the Turbo Express (that also has tips for Game Gear, Lynx, and Game Boy) made by Naki.

I'll have to try and track down the caddy pack... but I'm not interested in unlicensed or unofficial accessories.

NEC did have a catalog filled with accessories, from watches to shirts to mugs to SOFT PACK TurboExpress cases to hats to wallets

It was official, through NEC.

An old thread has scans...it was a fold-out pamphlet really.

Now, the HARD CASE TE And TG-16 cases...I don't think they were first party, but licensed., but never advertised in any catalog consumer catalog that I know of.

Yeah, not really interested in swag either.

But this is the hard case that I'm talking about...

This is my case that I shot for the book. (much lower res version)

I also have images of the other 3rd party hard case.

That was packed in with the TurboGrafx CD-ROM. I'm not aware of any other US CD hardcases. There were some hard cases for the TurboGrafx system itself and the express.

If you want a picture here is one from an ebay auction 2 days ago.

I need to get one of those! My poor TE is always wrapped in fabric and put into a bag when it's not in use.

Sorry, I should have clarified with a picture of third-party plastic hardcase for TG-16 and TurboExpress (the interior is molded hard plastic):

NOTE: some lucky bastard has a TurboExpress version of this exact that he stole from me years ago. when I say stole, I mean he offered a lot more $$$$ than I had to the seller. Oh well.

Yeah I've got images of that case too. I'm not using it in the book since it's not an official product, but I love that case.

Nazi NecroPhile

You mean first party.  It is official product.
