Pc Engine DUO, fault?

Hi guys,

First post here, just wanted to say Hi to everyone,

Ok well I have a PC engine DUO, and I seem to have a problem some times the CD will spin and read discs some times it wont, when playing audio cds the sound is jumping and jittering and I cant seem to get many game cds to load.

It sounds to me like the dreaded laser problem that most duos suffer but I cant seem to find any where in the UK that stocks HOP-M3 lasers, anyone know a good place as electronix.com seems to have dissapeared, also will a HOP-M3A work in the DUO, thanks for any help.

Electronix is still alive and kicking, or at least there web site is.  Stick hop-m3 into your search engine and quite a few other web sites will pop up.  Good luck saving your Duo.
