Hey, just wondering if anyone has an extra Sega or NEC PAC they'd be willing to part with for a decent price. Ebay prices have gotten ridiculous, even for the Sega S-10 PAC. No box or instructions needed. Thanks!

BigusSchmuck

Ditto for the PC Engine/Turbo PAC (sorry to hijack this thread)!

Not meaning to derail your thread but I was wondering how much on average these NEC PAC's fetch nowadays?
I can get one fully re-capped but the guy is asking upwards of $500.
Not sure if I'm willing to drop that kind of money one one of those things.

the TG16 PAC-N10 is way more than a pce PAC-N1 so make sure you are getting the right one. PAC-N1 you can probably get for $250-300 and PAC-N10 for $450 or maybe more

So what exactly is region locked? Just the card games?
I can get past that with a region converter, yes?

Yup, you're basically just paying for US branding.

Ok then so "$250-300" sounds a whole lot better (for the PAC-N1 ).
Now to try and find one at around that price.

I think I remember someone saying some LD games will choose which language to use based on the region of the PAC.

I thought it was based on the region of the actual Laseractive?

That is true, but a lot of times you can still change the language in the options as well.  I know for a fact Triad Stone is like that.

I'm fine with the US PACs. I don't need all four of them. If anyone has one to spare, let me know.

RyuHayabusa

Ok, got a Sega S-10 PAC that works great. Now I need an N-1 PAC for my NEC stuff. Anyone have one they'd like to sell? Don't need the controller, just the PAC.
