I've made significant progress with the hints. Definitely helpful and I would have never guess most of them just by listening. Sadly, a lot of the games I've actually never played.

I'm stuck on 8 and 9 now. 8 was originally one that I thought I knew for sure but I just can't pinpoint it.

I think if you know it, it will come to you eventually. Re-read my hints, they're actually pretty explicit. #9 is definitely the one that would have been hardest for me, but I feel like the hints are good if you do a little research.

Pretty quiet on this today, anybody come up with anything new? I will go over the hints again tomorrow probably and see what I can add, and add another secret phrase one.

Also, keep trying if you are interested in winning the Power Golf 2, a couple of our board leaders aren't interested in claiming this prize so it's still up for grabs even if they figure it out first. Don't feel like you can't participate if you're new to the forum, I might even give you some leeway on post count if you're truly interested in the game.

I believe that I figured out the latest word scramble hint and can make second words with the remaining letters, but I still don't see anything that would form a phrase with that first word.

I randomly stumbled upon clip 8 just on pure dumb luck. I wasn't even searching for it when I watched a random video and instantly heard it.

I don't think I would have got this one otherwise. The way I was interpreting the hints for clip 8 threw me way off track.

Although not intentionally, I think that some of the secret phrase hints will send people in wrong directions. Unfortunately, pointing out which ones would likely be too much of a hint as well.

One hint I will give is that you won't get it unless you're more than casually familiar with these games.

Some of the hints are meant to be purposefully misleading, some have information withheld for future clues I had planned or if I felt like I was giving too much away, and some are outright gimmes.

Of course, I think I have a "broken brain" (creative block) and just can't move forward.

I really can't think of a single word that is 14 letters long.

But, I have conjured up ridiculous phrases that are *barely* comprehensible.

At the end of the day, I am glad that we are struggling together.

It shouldn't be the case, but I am not sure if the Japanese version of the game I'm referencing is different in this area. I'm guessing it's the same. In any case, with a small about of googling around, you should be able to figure it out without even having played it.

You don't need to! Just 3 words that use all 14 letters collectively (just use each letter one time.)

Before I look at OP, I just want to say that this contest helped me find some great tunes that I had either (1) forgotten about or (2) never known.

So, if only for that reason, it was fun.

Plus, I liked Johnny's clues...it kept things fun.

I tried not to pick "level 1" tracks for each game because I thought that would be too easy. For most of them, they're pretty familiar for me and I've played through to the end, but I guess pretty hard if you haven't done so yourself. There's a lot of other PCE games where I have only sampled the first level and I'd be just as stuck. In some cases, like Ordyne, I feel like the style of the music has a lot of character and you might be able to attribute that style to a track without having played the level before.

Looking forward to future audio challenges! Straight up trivia would fun too if someone wants to take that on.

It was definitely fun and I think I did alright considering I was up against elite competition.

The hints and a lot of luck got me pretty far.

One take away for me is that I need to play more of these games. Sadly, I've only given 3 games (out of the 14) serious play time. I should spend more time playing games that are not just shooters.

Looking forward to continuing the audio challenges. I'll have to look into putting together one too.
