Turbo Express to mod or not to mod lcd?

So I am new to the TB16 and PC Engine community. I recently got a freshly recapped Turbo Express and I am thinking about having the screen upgraded. I was wondering how the community views this as this would make a better playing experience having a better screen but modifies the oem equipment. I would like to hear everybody feedback.  Thanks.

It's a nice upgrade, especially if you're gonna use it a lot.  The original screens were impressive tech back in the day, but they're hard on the eyes and pale in comparison to any modern screen.

Do you have any recommendations on who in the community still does these upgrades ?

mcwill is hopefully coming out with a screen replacement this year.  If you have seen his game gear and lynx screens, its going to be really nice.  only thing is it will most likely be the same size as the original.

you can get a bigger replacement though now but the picture quality will not be as good.  That said, I have one turbokon did with a 3.5" screen and its pretty nice.  Not sure if he's taking orders now though so you may want to contact user Keith Courage.

I did a screen mod but I would probably would go in on a Mcwill upgrade that sounds nice! Still will require work on getting it to look proper but that should be a high quality screen (so more expensive than the ones I have used).

Ah crap never mind, only 2.5" ;-( we need to convince him bigger is better. I still might do that tho.

as most of the work is in the case mod for the larger screen, it isnt so kit ready (tho one for the nomad would work)

Just want to thank everybody for there feedback I contacted Keith Courage and he is indeed still doing the 3.5 in upgrades. I will be shipping to him shortly to get this upgrade and I am looking forward to having a much better viewing experience with my Turbo Express .
