Pretty straightforward, WTB Neutopia I and II in CIB and nice shape.  Please send a PM if you can help me out!

Now, as I know this is more of a gamer oriented community, I thought we could chat about the games themselves too.  I just did a playthru of Neutopia I on emulator (Ootake) and enjoyed it... maybe a 7.5/10 for me.  Though if I played it at release it probably would have been an 8.5 or so for a 1990 game.  Definitely want to play thru Neutopia II at some point too.

Pros:
Graphics way ahead of its time
Tried and true Zelda format
Interesting Boss Battles

Cons:
Hit detection (though ironically enough, maybe game would have been too easy with good hit detection)
Repetitive... Sphere 1 was great, by the time I was in Sphere 4 I just wanted to get straight to the dungeon and be over with it
Predictable "secrets"... Places to bomb / fire very obvious

Definitely worth a playthru and hence why I want to own it in physical format too.  Let me know if you can help out.

I'm not crazy about Neutopia II, but I love Neutopia and think it's better than any Zelda except maybe the original.

Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

I'm actually currently playing through this VERY game!  :)  I'm really enjoying it so far.  First time I played it was around 1996 I think, and I didn't really have a lot of respekk for it, since it seemed like such a clone of the beloved Nintendo franchise.  However, over time and now actually playing it again, it really has grown on me.  I think Neutopia II is a big step up (other than the fire glitch?).

If you're really looking for some more shelf candy to show off, I would just hit up Jodi or turbokon to get yourself a reproduction HuCard and snazzy case.  Otherwise, if you're on a quest for complete/New/CIB yadda yadda, you should just go look around the auction sites, as asking around here will likely give poor results...

I love these forums. Savage.

At the time the game came out it was really good because it felt more like Zelda II than adventure of link did.  Of course it pales in comparison to a link to the past but that was like 2 years after this game came out.

I never got Neutopia II when it came out because I had moved on to Super CDs and was all stupid and snobby and ignored all hucard games.  Yes, I wish I could slap 16 year old me as I missed out on some good ones like New Adventure Island lol.

I do have Neutopia 1 and 2 but they are card only so no use to you lol.

Yes, I agree.

I think that it would have been much better if some of the hidden locations to bomb were hinted at (NOTE: the hints had to be good ones!) ...obscure, wacky places to bomb...but not impossible to find because the hints would come in various forms:

(1) challenging hints from NPC/cutscenes
(2) visual cues/hints (stage design/animation/audio cues)
(3) "easier hints" from a guru...but this is only for people who are *really stuck* A stronger player would be able to avoid this guru.

I love 'em both!  I disagree about the bomb sites being obvious; you know to bomb wall carvings or the center of dungeon walls, but you don't know which ones go anywhere important.  You can bomb 'em all, sure, but then you're gonna be grinding for lots of bomb drops and/or monies.

You have no idea how many collectard lurkers are here waiting for someone to put up a thread like this.  They are ready to PM and sell their warez for $$$$$.

The bosses are kickass in Neutopia. Much better than Zelda.

I agree that it does get a bit repetitive. Particularly the hidden rooms in the overworld. Practically every screen/map section has one. Way overdone.

Groover

these are very good games. I get it. I see all the people posting here like it is a store. If anyone has these to sell it will be from their own collection. Also asking to CIB turbo games is a big ask.
