12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

I notice there is a VERY large thread here, where a member has posted about 73 pages of reviews. There doesn't seem to be anything like that on the main pcengine-fx.com site.

That got me thinking.... are there any plans to add a game review section that certain folks could contribute to?

I'd very much like to see that.

Hi MrFulci,

Thank you for your suggestion about adding a user game review section.  While it would be nice to have something like this at pcengine-fx.com, I currently don't have the infrastructure or resources in place to handle such a section that would be up to site standards.

If you are looking for an alternative site that already has something like this in place, bt's excellent PCEngine Catalog Project already has a user-submitted review section for each game. - http://www.pcecp.com/index.php?mode=home

Or send it to pcecp.com, start a review thread here, submit it to Paul, and send it on over to turbo2k.net.  There's no such thing as too much exposure for quality turbo reviews.  Hell, maybe you can get the AP wire to accept 'em too.

This is very true.

If anyone seriously wants to write a lot of proper reviews of games then please let me know. The main reason the overhaul of the PCESB is going to take me years is because of updating/rewriting reviews. It sounds daft, but it can be really hard sitting down and playing so many games for a long time each just to get a balanced opinion of them. I particularly need reviews of RPGs and some of the more obscure stuff that I haven't got/not played much. I have certain editorial guidelines to review structure, so if you're interested drop me a pm or email or something.

The reviews at http://www.vgden.com/ are pretty sweet.  PCE games, with references to the US versions an lots of photos.
