Replacing the Card Slot

I bought a PC Engine Duo-R off ebay that had working cd but non working for hu-cards which is why it was a pretty good deal.  Once it arrived I opened it up to find somebody had tried to install a region mod and wasn't successful.

Anyway one of the pins from the card slot is completely missing and I think best option would be to replace the whole card slot.  Can I use the card slot from a TurboGrafx 16? or is my only option from a non working PC Engine, PC Engine Duo/Duo-R?

You can replace the slot or just the pin from a tg16
Insert pin with card inserted so it sets properly
