Not sure if this is the right place but I was looking for some kind of comprehensive list of controller mods and how to implement them.

I myself am wanting to mod an old arcade stick to work on the PCE but have no clues on different methods, pros and cons etc.

Does a list of methods exist?
So far on my searches I've found the following...

Adapter for PlayStation controllers

MC Cthulhu

NES controller mod

I'm guessing you canalso just scrap PC Engine controller and put the innards in a stick...?

Do people have feedback on things they've done/used? Whats easy/hard? Limitations etc.

The UPCB (which was an open-source project Toodles made before the Cthulu) also has good support for PC Engine - after I re-wrote it with some help from RDC. Supports 2 button and 6 button, and multitap.

The biggest issue with it is that there's nowhere to buy it, can only build it yourself.

I've used the method mentioned in the NES controller modification to make all different kinds of joysticks work with a PC engine. shouldn't be too difficult to go that route or just take the innards out of a PC engine controller like you mentioned.

I was thinking about starting a controller review thread.  I have several different controllers, there are lots of different mod and adapters.    I would be interesting to compare lag, feel and function of the many options available.
