The SMS version is by far the best and sounds great in both PSG or FM. Its one of my favorite games in general.

I was wondering about your avatar when you had first changed it, Nectarsis (which at the time appeared to be a red flag with an eagle-blade symbol on it). Where is that one, and the current icon from the split spear/trident, from? Your Gundam robot avatar will be missed nonetheless.

It's definitely one of the cooler I've seen you made, Turbo D. I like how it has the lighting flashes in it, too. It's cool that you took it from the intro of Air Zonk, as well.

Absolutely- and a spider should have eight eyes like this while this sucker only has two.

I like a lot, Sinistron. I always was impressed with the US boxart of The Legendary Axe since Black Tiger had first shown it on these boards. I have read in the past that there are species of spiders that have two eyes, but I am not sure of which ones.

(what do folks think of my current Dragon Spirit if they wish to give an opinion, also?).

It's a nice image but needs more personality.  A fierce avatar is crucial if you hope to win any flame wars or subject other forum members to your will.

I don't plan on getting into many flame wars or subject other users to my will (though I did get into a special tussle in the shoutbox two nights ago). My perferred style of avatar is to have a sprite or one surrounded by a portion of the level, anyway. I mostly asked since I'm in the workings of mastering the art of screenshot/sprite clipping. Hopefully, next month's can turn out to be more of that preference, in a way .

The redflag/eagle blade is the Neo Zeon Flag fro Gundam Chars Counter Attack, and the split spear/trident is the symclo from Code Geass.  Both may make appearances as new tats someday ;)

I'll try to make the next one exactly 80 x 80 pixels in order to avoid this in the future.

I was thinking of having one from Bonk's Adventure with Bonk jumping in midair, since I though it was pretty cute and appealing, but it didn't turn out as well as I though it would. The sleeping Eggy Head enemies from Bonk's Revenge was such a nice picture for me to use, I saw.

Thanks, Black Tiger . What I meant by not turning out well was that Bonk didn't look as cute as I though he would when I saw screenshots of him jumping. I did consider those animations from the other games, but they didn't look good enough to me, either. If I were to use one from Bonk 3: Bonk's Big Adventure, though, I would use the one player sprite facing right while doing so.

Here is a new originally created avatar. I've recently seen some footage of Turrican for the TurboGrafx-16, and as far as I was concerned, it looked like a great game for the system (especially pertaining to the music), so  I wanted it very much. This also marks the first perfectly made avatar that I've created, since it was made to be exactly 80 x 80 pixels (and thus with no distortion done to it).

This icon's source was from a screenshot on the Turrican entry of the PC Engine Software Bible. Sunteam_Paul has allowed me to use any of the screens provided on there to create any ones I wish (I'll let him try to guess which picture this was taken from, though ).

I did read Michael Helgeston's review earlier, but he doesn't really elaborate too much on why it's bad aside from the factors being so (which I totally disagree with his view on the music from hearing the first level track, I think it was, and the graphics since they look like they're in the standards of the TurboGrafx-16), how it's hard, and it does not live up to the standards of the Commodore 64 and Amiga versions. The last one I can see being a possible large negative factor for it, but even if it was every bit of horrible as you two emphasize it to be, I'm still willing to check it out, at least .

Yes, that is a fine picture. I kinda wish The Shadow Chronicles didn't go with the CGI for the space scenes, or least not as much. It was a little too jarring for me going back and forth between the animation styles. Don't get me wrong, the CGI animation looked great, but it just clashed too much with the regular animation.

Since it all it was is a hack-job taking 3 different serise,not related to each other and editing them together.

At least these days you can get those serise in there original form uncut on dvd.

Also macross is it's own serise any ways with the latest being macross frontier.

In commeration of Halloween, I've decided to use an avatar of the witch character from Dungeon Explorer II. The witch was one of my favorite characters in the original Dungeon Explorer, and she, named "Gwen" in the sequel, looked gorgeous. The icon was made from one of the screeshots found one Sunteam_Paul's website.

I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 to make all of my avatars. The game related grafx in them are actual screenshots taken with MagicEngine. When they are finished, I upload them to photobucket.

Here is my new avatar for the month of November. I wanted to choose one that would fit Thanksgiving, and Pac-Man wearing his feathered fedora (I'm sure that's the type of hat that I've heard it to be mentioned before) makes him kinda look like a pilgrim (plus he eats a lot, too, which make him quite fitting for the holiday ). I had trouble choosing one that wouldn't have the necessary details be cut off for the desired size or look too bland in color, so one with him jumping in front of a buliding was my best bet. This one was taken from a screenshot provided from the PC Engine Software Bible.

I have some bad news, though: As of December 31, 2008, AOL Pictures will no longer be providing its service of sharing photos online, and members are suggested to register an account with the partnered American Greetings PhotoWorks to keep providing photos displayed. This would be suitable to me for any of the photographs taken with a camera, but not for the avatars I make (I find this to be inconvieniet for them somehow). However, I've managed to perform another technique to display those icons on the Internet...

Well, my avatar is the box of my Duo-RX. Getting that was my proudest moment of being a PCE fan, as it is my first (and only) NEC system. It finally allowed me to move from using Magic Engine to using the real thing. It has been modded to play TurboChips (Thanks again, Turbokon!), and I love it dearly.
