1: In your opinion, how much would a mint and loose hucard go for on E-Bay?

2: What would be the most you would pay?

I just picked up another copy and am trying to get an idea of its value, should I decide to trade it.

nat

Man this is tough, really subjective.

I got a copy w/ manual as part of a lot early in the year. I sold off the other games at fair market value and I ended up with the game and manual (sans cardboard box) for $165. By comparison, another member here bought a loose cart WITHOUT manual for like $350. To further confuse things, yet another member here bought a COMPLETE-in-box mint copy for $250.

So it really comes down to how much it's worth to your buyer, but that $165 deal that I got really is probably the lowest I've seen it go (and it wasn't even "loose").

CrackTiger

From what I've seen on eBay, $150 for the lone HuCard is average and anywhere from $250 - $400 for the game, box & manual. When the cardboard box in particular comes into play, the condition plays a big part in the selling price.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

Thanks guys.

I kinda figured the E-Bay price would fluctuate because they rarely come up. I guess some guys are willing to pay more now rather than wait for the next copy to come up for bid.

How much would a mint manual add to the price?

nat

Again, I got my mint card + mint manual for $165 (on eBay). Personally I wouldn't have paid over $180 for a set like that, but you might be able to squeeze $200 out of someone (the aforementioned impatience factor).

Sorry Nat, I should read more thoroughly. #-o

The funny thing is, on another forum I was offered $50 for my manual (which is gem-mint) and I said no. Maybe I should've taken it.

That's insane. If money is what you're looking for, you should have accepted that offer without a second thought. I bought a loose mint US manual for the even-more-expensive US Dynastic Hero and it "only" ran me $15. Even at that price, I felt pretty dirty paying $15 for a stinkin' manual (considering TZD was still selling them for $3 up until late last year). If the seller had asked for $50 I would have laughed at him.

If you're lucky you can track the dude down, maybe he still wants it.

I only considered taking the $50 because I had just paid $125 for the card and manual and I thought maybe making some money back since I'm more of a player than a collector. The manual means very little to me really.

I actually could still sell it for $50 to the same guy, but now that I have another loose card, I'd rather package them together for trade or sale.

The last complete copy I saw on ebay (April/May of this year) sold for $725... #-o
Finding a truly complete copy, with a box that hasn't been run over by a truck, is really a different story altogether. Tough to put a price on stuff like this because there are at least a few deep pocketed collectors who want it.

EDIT:
Looks like there still are some awesome deals to be had on ebay...

Awesome -- those were *boxes* and not even the actual games themselves?

Keranu

That's such a cool transaction you made, Sparky! Moments like that are the greatest.

That Bubba instruction manual looks awesome!

WTG Sparky! Great trade and find! The flea markets/ Swap meets suck here in vegas! Its all vendors selling crap from a distributor now. No used stuff anymore  also the thrift shops have joined in I went to 3 thrift stores last week and not 1 videogame for any system. Oh how I wish for the old days! [-o<
