Good luck to everyone in the storms path. Hunker down, get supplies, and have enough juice for the hand helds!   :D

Share some pics if you get walloped.

I am currently debating whether or not I should do my NJ --> NY commute tomorrow. I think I'm going in. DAMMIT!

Only supposed to get 6"-12" here.  Sucks, but Buffalo, NY is not the epicenter for once!

HercTNT

Supposedly here in NH they are crying Snow-ma-geddon 2013. we will see, they told us that last month and we got 2" of rain in 24 hours.

TR0N

Snow what's that !? The stuff that you sniff up you're nose !? Then again MD it just getting sleet instead  :P

starting to fall pretty good here in RI.  roads are still clear, but it's certainly picking up.

HercTNT

same here, starting to pick up, we are gonna see the worst of it starting in a few hours.

wallzter

Here in Central Nj its mostly sleet right now but they are calling for 4''-8'' of snow total so not that bad. Got the fridge stocked and lots of games ready to go!!

bob

Coming in hard. Already knee deep.

bob

Not seeing many responses here, so hope everybody stayed out of harms way.

I just got done shoveling my roof for the last 2 hours.  A few pics from where I am...

Here in this part of NJ got a little under a foot. We got lucky Long Island which isnt too far from here got almost 3 feet. Hope everyone is well.

That doesn't look bad at all. Hell the streets are practically clear. What's everyone in such a fuss about?

PunkCryborg

What is all that white stuff? It's 70° here

Yeah, pics don't capture it quite well.  Plows just got done.  Our official count was 30".  When I woke up today, I couldn't see my car. It was completely burried from the wind and snow drifts.

TheClash603

Buffalo had a foot, loving life.

turboswimbz

only 5 inches and it was warm today, nothing really to report here.  glad to be out of the thick of it this time.
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)
BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere. You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

Back in '82 before the TurboGrafx-16 was released it snowed 4 feet in Denver and the mayor never bothered to send out the plows until it was too late. That was fun times. No mayor wants to make the same mistake so you'll see plows out in flurries here now.

BlueBMW

I wish I could have seen that Joe!  Unfortunately I wasnt alive.  I do seem to remember growing up some big blizzard in 93 or so where we got some 30" or so in the Denver metro area.  Actually got a snow day on that one.
[Sun 23:29] <Tatsujin> we have hard off, book off, house off, sports off, baby off, clothes off, jerk off, piss off etc

HercTNT

we wound up getting just under two feet. nothing major.

TheClash603

I have lived through two awful storms.  The first was in 2000 where we got around 9 feet of snow in 24 hours.  The second was the "October Surprise" in 2006 where we got about 5 feet of snow in 12 hours.  The October storm was the worst because the leave were still on the trees and the show was heavy, so all the trees in the area came down and destroyed houses, roads, and power lines.

The positive to those two freak storms happening is that now when we get a foot of snow, it isn't a big deal anymore.
