12/23/2024: Localization News - Team Innocent

PC-FX Localization for Team Innocent is released, a pre-Christmas gift!! In a twist, it feels like the NEC PC-FX got more attention in 2024 than any other time I can remember! Caveat: The localizers consider the "v0.9" patch a BETA as it still faces technical hurdles to eventually subtitle the FMV scenes, but they consider it very much playable.

Hey gang,

Probably a dumb question, but outside of the orange label color, is there any difference between a core system vs a core 2 system? I assume both don't have any RF out, but I don't own a core 2 so I can't know for sure.

Cheers,

Core 2 does not have an RF out. Just the standard composite 5 pin A/V din port.

Internally I have never seen a Core (Grey/blue) but I have seen a Core 2 (grey/orange). :)

Edit:
There was a thread describing the differences between the 6280a and 6280 but I cannot find it now. :(

I assume one CPU version had glitches (Audio If I remember correctly)?

I have owned quite a few Core Grafx I and II and I have never seen one with a HuC6280a. The only consoles I have encountered a HuC6280a are the Super Grafx and a PAL Turbo Grafx.

Functionally there is no difference. Both only have AV out.
