I can't believe I agree with Kitsune.

Seriously, fuck you guys.  Fallout is one of the best game series ever.  It is even coming out for the consoles this time, so us console only guys have no excuse not to play it.  This is assuming Bethesda doesn't completely screw up the series, but judging from the trailer, they do have the atmosphere of the series down at least.  But I have a sinking feeling they are going to turn the gameplay into Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel 2.

I would much rather play a game like Fallout where you can do All-American things like stab a hooker for her drugs than generic menu-based Japanese RPG #568.

I fall into the 'don't give a fuck' category, but that has less to do with the game and more to do with the fall 2008 release.  I just can't get too excited about anything that's more than a year away when almost no useful information has been released.  Let me know if they give out actual game play footage and not some slow, boring, pre-rendered fluff.

Simmer down Kitsune - believe it or not, but not everyone has the same interests and tastes.  Though, oddly enough, everyone tastes the same (a little like chicken, but sweeter).

That's not pre-rendered, it's obviously in-game. Apparently this game uses the Oblivion engine. That's both good and bad.

From the linked article: "Yes, that's in-engine (in-engine means it's done with game assets in our rendering engine, but isn't done real-time".  So, yes it is pre-rendered, but not by external software and hardware.  For all I know, today's mainstream video cards may not be able to render this video in real time at acceptable frame rates (seems likely, considering the fall '08 release date).  In other words, it isn't game play footage, so I don't care about it as much.
