NEC CD-ROM compatibility question

There's this handy-dandy thing called 'Search'.  You might want to check it out sometime, 'cause look what it turned up:

I ordered one of them from these guys, they have great customer service and shipped really fast and packaged well! Everything in the CD-Drive you get can be used EXCEPT the PCB, its not made compatible for a Duo*, although its all the same shape and stuff on the inside, Im sure its a matter of the chips are different on the Board between the two.

(* - ignore this mention of a Duo; the thread is all about the TG-CD/PCE-CD)

I can't blame a guy for not finding what he needs via search. For one thing, the search function on this forum (and most others) is for shit. It takes me forever just to find my own threads. Also, forum activity is pretty slow these days now that all the flaming has died down. I'd rather people posted on something.

From my experience it works much better to, instead of using the search field on this forum, just type what you are looking for into a Google search and add "PC Engine FX" to the search.
