Hey all! I am needing an Action Replay for a Saturn I just bought. If anyone can help me avoid eBay pricing please shoot me a PM, or just post. Offers welcome. Thanks! :)

Depending on what these things go for now, you might be better off with a switch.

Actually, you're better off with a switch regardless, but it can be a pain to find someone to install the switch.

I would love to get a switch installed, but like you said, I may not find anyone willing. And the $$ is an issue since I bought the Saturn from fellow forum member jeffg, and then a few games off eBay.

NCSX still sells them brand new. http://www.ncsxshop.com/cgi-bin/shop/EMS-ARP3.html

Wow, awesome. I think that's exactly what I paid for mine when they first came out a long ass time ago.

Yep, they no longer have the serial cable port on the more recently made ones though. Also keep in mind, Saturn cartridge slots suck. Getting carts to work properly can be a hassle.

Sweet! That's my ticket. Thanks guys!

What was the serial port used for?  And could one mod one of these new ones to have one?
[Sun 23:29] <Tatsujin> we have hard off, book off, house off, sports off, baby off, clothes off, jerk off, piss off etc

It was used for downloading action replay codes or save files to and from the device.

Added in edit: And I am not aware of a way to mod it.

Someone also made a Serial port - USB datalink cable so that you can transfer save files to and from your PC using a USB cable.

And there is apparently a way to mod the newer ones to put in the serial port.  The guy who sells the datalink device above mods it for $15, so I imagine it's not a huge job.
