this makes me wish there was just a mini xbox/ps3 that would only do the DLC.
there's lots of games i want on the arcade, but there's hardly any games i'd actually buy in a store.
oh well, glad to see x-men getting some love.

and why does everyone insist on the simpsons game getting ported?
I know it never did, but was it really that good to begin with?

Simpsons game is awesome, and for its time, was truly groundbreaking.  Both graphically and gameplay-wise, it is the better of the 2 games, and I am happy to say there's a chance for it now.

As for X-Men, the drop-in online play sounds really great.  As long as I get Nightcrawler when I drop in anyway.  Will pick this up day one for sure.

Question is, does owning this make owning a MAME copy legal?

As a beat-em-up game in general, this isn't such a great game. Its OK, but not as good as Simpsons, D&D, Outfoxies, Aliens versus Predator, or that one Spiderman one that zoomed in and out. The gigantic arcade machine was at least half the fun.

X Men was good if you like X Men, but as far as punch-stuff games go, I preferred the D&D games, Gaiapolis, Battletoads, and Alien Vs Predator

How's making it download only suck !? For game like this i don't mind plus it will have "online gameplay" finalfight&magic sword got it so i'm glad konami is gonna do it with the x-men.Though if x-men was on a collection with other arcade titles on disc at retail that would be better,oh well better then nothing.

it's true, i'm an X-men diehard! but with out the dual arcade monitor (a la Ninja Warriors) it's just not the same, plus u won't have your buddie along side you to set up strategy and tricks....all i remember was Storm was the trump character with the crazy long reach of that bullshit ceptor or her's....when the fuck have u seen storm ever carry a ceptor!?!?!?

I'm cool with download only of old-gen stuff showing up on new systems.

Its new games FOR that system being download only that I find kinda gay.

Kinda like how we got Agarest War in NA for PS3 as a download.  Fuck that noise.  I imported the UK one.  Discs or gtfo!



Seeing as the game is going to sell for nothing, slapping it on ANY physical medium is plain retarded and will result in them losing money.   Thats why theyre not doing it.

I liked X-Men by Konami, but I'd rather have Metamorphic Force.  That will never happen though.   Also I hear they are messing with the voices in the X-Men Arcade game.  To me that will take away some of the charm.
