Bonks Adventure in 1989-90 in a Radioshack in some mall in Texas.  They had a TG16 hooked up to a big screen TV right out in front of the store.  Naturally I made a bee-line to it as soon as I saw it.  I remember my sister getting so pissed because I wouldn't let her play.  Must have scarred her for life because she still talks about to this day.

OldRover

Keith Courage, probably 1991. Second game was Fantasy Zone, that was probably 1992.
Turbo Badass Rank: Janne (6 of 12 clears)
Conquered so far: Sinistron, Violent Soldier, Tatsujin, Super Raiden, Shape Shifter, Rayxanber II

Cadash in 2011. I think i picked a good first game to play.

Damon Plus

On emulator I don't remember. When I purchased one last year, first game I tried was Blazing Lazers. I was amazed, of course.

First game for me was Keith's Courage.  I bought the TG-16 with my own money.  Saved up for it specifically to play Bonk's Adventure, but after paying for the system I had no money left.  Two weeks later I bought Bonk's Adventure and the TurboGrafx-16 changed me as a gamer for life.
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.

Kieth Courage, 1989. It was the game that lured me to the Turbografx over the Genesis (well that and Dungeon Explorer I think) I just loved the bright colors.

Got a used Turbo and some games off Yahoo auctions in '98. First Turbo game I put in it was Keith Courage.  Not a good first impression. However, I also had Bomberman, Galaga '90 and Ninja Spirit, which were much better :)

fraggore

it was the pc engine 22 years ago not the turbo for me (god i am old) and it was tale of the monsters path quickly followed by shinobi

if it was the turbo it would be 2 months ago and it was blazing lasers
I always wanted a thing called tuna sashemie

"All your base are belong to us"

Jugbug

Can't really remember, but I'm pretty sure it was either Bonk or Keith Courage.

CPTRAVE

I played Keith Courage, I beat it the same day I think.

Its Keith Courage, way back in 1989.  It was the pack in game so I had no choice.
During the launch window, My brothers and I were lucky to get Legendary Axe, Rtype, and China Warrior.
My favorite of the 4 at the time was China Warrior.  Although Legendary Axe blew me away when I saw that final boss.

CatBoy

Keith Courage on a TG16 kiosk at RadioShack. The other games put on rotation on that kiosk were Blazing Lazers and Pac Land.
