How rare is the first GG Aleste?

I've seen it for sale a few places, but it's always way more expensive than GG Aleste II (always in excess of $100.)  Why is this?  Is it a rarer game?

There was less GG Aleste produced than part 2 and another factor is that it was never released outside of Japan, whereas GG Aleste 2 was released elsewhere as Power Strike 2. I have both and while both are good games, GG Aleste 2 is much better, the first one is pretty short and is way too easy for a shump, I just played it recently and beat it first try.
