You play fighters on a PS2 controller? I couldn't do it. Thumbs would kill me. The AES stick is solid. Sorry though, toymachine, I only have my two.

I just ordered one of those. Figured it's a cheap solution for the time being. I don't mind the PS2 controller.

That was my logic as well. That would be a fun project at some point (not that I think I could even do it. But it's worth a shot)

The AES stick feels, sounds, and is thin hollow plastic and it's so easy to accidentally hit the Start button in the heat of gameplay that they actually started writing software to have Select pause the game instead of Start.

A third party PS1 controller without the analog sticks and a nice d-pad is a pretty solid choice for playing Neo-Geo games. The Interact Piranah pad is a common and good pad for that purpose. Tototek sells the PS2 to Neo-Geo pad convertors.

Back in 92 the AES stick was absolutely bad ass for its time, but these days it does feel cheap and light compared to modern sticks. Saying that I have so, so much nostalgia for the original AES stick I feel it will always be awesome.

The cord length is far from bad ass, and is more like bad backache from having to sit close to the system.

I've never found the cord length on the AES sticks ever being an issue.
The cords on the Super Famicom pads I felt were just ridiculous.

I'm not going to judge a controller by the length of the cable. That's easily fixed with an extension.

However, the worst for cable length was the launch day JP PS1. That thing was stupid short, I seem to remember it being like two feet long, maybe.

Back in the day though I wasn't aware or knew where to buy cable extensions.
With the Super Famicom I've always used a UK SNES pad, which has a normal length cable.

Super Famicom pad cable lengths are bad. I have a couple that I've swapped the cords from dead US controllers from to increase the length.

I love my AES Sticks, so bad ass but for my AES duties I mostly use my MAS Arcade stick.  Look for one of those.

I saw that one. Its pretty banged up tho. There is one seller who has cornered the market and won't take offers. I should have bought one a while back. You could get them for $60 shipped easy.

The pad works great, but I'm not looking to get rid of it. I prefer using it for certain games.
