You should go spend the 19.99$ required to get it.

It's probably the best reboot of any of the ones that have come out.

They didn't abuse quicktimes (the quicktime event in it actually has a purpose and is basically like playing Parappa The Rapper while punching the fuck out of stuff).

The atmosphere is intact.

They have the old game on there. and soundtrack.

It's replayable as fuck.

Didn't even know this game was out, shame it's digital only. Either way, I don't have a PS4 yet, which is fine. Still catching up on PS1-3 along with PSP & Vita, so I'll hold off for awhile before I get one.

Oh man that JP ps2 Altered Beast was bad. I remember last summer really digging the videos of the new Beast. Is it ps4 only or can I get it for ps3 as well?

Yeah, either Play-Asia or whatever other import store. Have no idea if its limited or not, just kinda figured I should grab it because it looks hot and I like the first two original games on Obey and FEKA CD.

I didn't even know about this game. I just went ahead and bought the physical copy. Shipping is almost as much as the game which is great. Honestly I don't remember picking a shipping option so I probably accidentally selected same-day or something. Oh well. I guess the bank won't be getting a house payment this month. Eff 'em, Shadow of the beast is better anyway.

No. Only corpses are allowed to live in my basement. Dave will move into the basement once he's a corpse. However he can visit the basement, be on the show and admire the corpses with me.

EDIT: So is this a reboot or a remake? To me it looks like a reboot. Too bad because we JUST got done making a reboot-themed episode. Oh well, next time!

Just posting here to say that yes, Shadow of the Beast PS4 is absolutely fantastic. It's not the best PS4 game, but it's possibly the best PS4 exclusive so far.

The rhythm of the action is so refreshing. It's a bit methodical (like oldschool Prince of Persia or Out of this World) but has the scoring/replayability of a DMC.

EDIT: it also has some Psygnosis-themed Easter Eggs

Some of the easter eggs are hilarious. You can spot sprites from games on the buildings.

I posted on their Facebook to thank them for not fucking the game up.

The were glad that I "got" the combat system.

It's definitely rhythmic. You are not supposed to just flail like Michael J Fox trying to do the YMCA.
