I think if you compare those 3 to, say, quiet riot (or motley crew) you'll find they were pretty clean livin'. (as rockers go.)

Fun fact: before his current career, Gene Simmons (lead singer of KISS, if you didn't know) was a kindergarden teacher.

I watched the behind the music special about this guy and quiet riot, apparently he was an asshole during most of the 80's by his own admission and by that of his bandmates, then when the no money nineties came about, he started to be nice again and then they reformed quiet riot, and now he died, thats pretty fucked up, maybe he was still doing the nose candy or something.
