CO-OP bomberman on PC Engine question

Just wondering... do any of the bomberman games for PC Engine feature multiplayer (even 2 player) co-op play or is multiplayer always a vs game?

Always a VS game as far as I know. Same goes for Panic Bomber too I'm sure.

The oldest co-op multiplayer I own is Saturn Bomberman. Maybe some of the SFC ones did this. I've never played the later ones.

Bomberman '94 allows co-op play in the form of teams in a Battle Game, but no co-op play in a Normal Game.

super bomberman 2 allows team play. not sure about the later ones.

I think what he asking for is multi-player in story mode, and no the PCE games don't have it. Saturn Bomberman has a great two player (no more) story mode though.

I was hoping for story mode, but if the best I can do is co-op battle mode then that's the best I can do!
