How Far Have you gotten in INSANITY?

I popped in at Roys tonight and we played insanity for a good hour or hour and a half. and we made it to the Greenish Blue Bots. this is how the levels have changed for us.

Orange Bots- level 1
Blue Bots- Level 2
green bots- level 3
Orange Red Bots- level 4
Purple Bots- Level 5
Greenish Blue Bots- level 6

If anyone has got farther let us know it was getting very tough where we were.

Greenish blue ones were pretty rough. I wonder how many more there are?

I believe that is as far as I've gotten too. lol. It gets pretty challenging. The latter level robots are smarter and often capitalize on shooting lazers diagonally through block formations; bastards! I can't wait to see the alleged boss; if I can ever reach it that is...

The part that killed me the most was when you pop into a new room and the greenish blue ones shoot the second the screen pops up. Theres NOTHING you can do but die, you don't even have a chance.

glad to see people are making it to the teal guys! I like them the most myself.

There's nothing to doubt; it most certainly does exist. The bots leading up to the boss are much harder though, since you don't have to make a mad dash for an exit to avoid Otto.

You do have a chance, albeit a rather slim one. Always be firing when you enter a new room, and if you're lucky, you'll take out his shot or at least clear out some room to run.

An excellent strat indeed! Until you get to a room with Bots firing on your from 2-3 different directions. Then sir, there is no safe place other than the pile of bones you're soon to be.

Ya gotta shoot and run towards one of the bots. If you're lucky, you'll whack one and evade the others; if you're not lucky, you'll run straight into a wall.

I made it to the pesky teal guys again last night with 5 guys left and thought, "I have you now!" well before I knew it my game was over. I did break the 20,000 plateau on score though although I dont know my final score cause it goes away immediately after death. I think I was around 21,400 so if anyone starts a high score thread be sure to pause often and take your pic cause you dont get time to when the game ends

A bit of a cheat but you can always pause when you enter a room to get an idea where to run first to avoid shots.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if this game, or other homebrews such as Implode may cause the gear issue on the turbo cd/duo? I actually have held off of buying this and the others because of the CD-R warnings, and I assume that these games will cause the same effect.

Does my point have any validity? Or am I just making uneducated assumptions?

I thought that Insanity is being professionally pressed, not burned onto a CD-R.

The only official independent release that comes on CD-R is Meteor Blaster. All the normal warnings associated with CD-R use apply.

All other independent releases (Implode, Insanity, and the upcoming Mysterious Song) are professionally pressed CDs, no different from any other Turbo CD game.
