2/13/2025: Localization News - Cosmic Fantasy 3-4!

Rather earth-shattering news in the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 community: Cosmic Fantasy 3 & 4 has been officially localized to English by Edia 30 years later for the Switch! Hard to believe! I know their script quality is poor given the 1&2 port but still good to see.

Quote1up.com — It seems last week's Final Fantasy XIV kerfuffle had even more fallout than we thought. In an announcement on the company's official corporate site today, Square Enix drastically reduced its earnings forecasts for the remainder of the fiscal year from 12 billion yen (approx. $142.4 million USD) to just 1 billion yen ($11.9 million) - a decrease of 91.7%

This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

Erm... considering they just opened a new store site, I don't think they're going under anytime soon.

I only read they made a net profit, and to me that seems pretty good.  As a financial analyst, all day I review company financial statements, and determine credit worthiness.  I am not at work, and do not want to go through a long and boring statement.  However, I assume if I did, the company would look relatively stable.

If they made a true sequel to Mario RPG, that could make them some bank.

I could care less, they need to make a good game.  Square enix reported even more people quiting ff14 and some people very pissed ps3 copy cancelled.  So keep defending square enix, your little contribution dont matter as much if they're just gonna keep doing worse and worse.

nectarsis

Well besides the obvious grammar/spelling abominations you continue to spew, you need to READ before blabbering.  Delayed =/= canceled.

Heh, yeah. They made a billion yen. That does not mean they are going bankrupt. Losing a billion yen maybe, not netting it. Ridiculous.

EDIT:

Even more ridiculous? The twats on Digg actually seem to believe it.

"that is really sad news.. i liked square games.. "

Yes, not only did making a billion cause them to go bankrupt, they will immediately cease all operations and put their office equipment on Craig's List.

This is why I hate the mainstream western gaming world. :)

They didn't lose any money.  They just didn't make as much as they expected.

Solution: Make round eye happy. Get them to like FF14, and hopefully, type properly.
