Is PC Denjin quite hard, or do I just suck at games?

Can't get past the first level boss (the blue magnet guy). Playing on my GT, too, so no frame delay etc. Practice practice practice.

I think I may have been spoiled slightly by a) having too many games and not sticking with them, and b) the casual nature of most new games.

Still, I scored a bunch of Eneloops (12 of the best 2000 Mah ones, 4 of the old, 4 AAAs and a charger) with the intention of splitting the 12 good ones between my Nomad and GT. So here I come 3+ extra hours a day playing PCE games!

weird, I don't know if I've ever played the Import version of Air Zonk. Its been a few years, but Air Zonk doesn't really get hard till the later levels... Could the Nippon version be harder due to us Americans needing a dummy curve?

I doubt it, but I will say us Brits were at a disadvantage with our 50hz hardware. For instance Gynoug would be much harder at 60hz on the Megadrive.

I'm finding New Zealand story quite difficult too.

This game is really easy, especially for a shooter.

Maybe you've been playing too much of that new shit like Uncharted or Gran Theft Auto or whatever, where there is a save point every 2.5 seconds, and you have infinite lives, and all the enemies barely fight back at all because focus groups say that if the game actually requires skill the bratty teenagers that buy this garbage will abandon the series for something easier. Those games. Throw all that shit away and play something like...Viewpoint on Neo Geo, for a whole weekend. Nothing but. Then when you come back to Zonk it will seem incredibly easy.

You need to get some skills. PC Denjin is one of the easier SHMUPS on the PCE. just practice, be patient, observe everything, and Quick finger reflexes on the controller and eventually you'll be a SHMUP Champ

Is the first choice you get of 3 different things the difficulty level? Also just watched a video, and it seems like smartbomb use is something I'm failing on.
