I think they expect you to collect the first model, and store so that in 70 years you can show it off, and talk about when you pre-ordered another handheld then sell it off for a couple hundred dollars, or fifty thousand space bucks. Something like that.

No. If you didn't like the bundle and price, why did you buy it?

When I preorded the bundle, it was the best priced, because of the value of the included items. Then Sony changed the bundles right before the release, making mine no longer the best value. I actually went to EB and changed my preorder today though, because I was not going to get stuck with less for more money.

Although the price stayed the same on the First Edition, the bundle was worth less 2 days ago than it was prior to that point. It would be like if I sold you a piece of gold at $1,800 and oz. because it was there 3 months ago. Even though the physical item is the same, it no longer has the same value.

Is anyone who is getting a Vita still getting the First Edition? Conversely, is anyone still getting Wi-Fi model, since the 3G is juiced with some many extras that the upgrade is now basically free?

I see the Vita doing the same thing the PSPs and PSP Go did. Too much going on for anyone to really use it. I enjoy my 3DS. Res Evil is coming out in 7 days so ill be busy until Kid Icarus hits.

I guess this will be a difficult question to answer, seeing as how I'm not really into PS gaming, but...can someone give me a reason to get this? I haven't gotten an actual NEW game console since I got my Wii...

Really, if this is even half as good as the PSP for me, then, there's yer reason. There's alot of great games on the PSP IMO, & that'll be the reason to get a Vita. At the very least, I'm sure Uncharted is great. If you like Katamari, there's a new one of those for it. Ofcoarse, since I don't have the system itself yet, I can't comment on the quality of the hardware & how durable it is, etc.

But, really, it's mainly about Falcom, even if some of the games don't get translated, I'll still buy their Ys games at the very least!

I have a £50 voucher thing from Work - plus I was gonna return Zelda Skyward Sword since I can't play it, but I forgot.

so yeah, I'm probably gonna use the voucher for the Vita. But I'm gonna hold back for a bit and see what happens, maybe wait till the games become a bit cheaper, see if my friends get one.

Pre-Ordered mine through Newegg.com. No tax and free shipping. Just doing the wi-fi model. I have a best buy gift card burning a hole in my pocket, so I'll pick up a game and a memory card. I will more than likely get Ridge Racer since I'm a shameless fanboy.

There are quite a few games I'm looking forward too. Dragon's Crown is one of them. I also wouldn't mind the new Hot Shots/Mina no Golf 6. I need to read up on a couple of the other games that are out there. The Vita is like the psp and there's no region lock on games correct?

Well, I've got some great BS for ya'll! Backwards combatibility of PSP games on Vita will not be available in the US!

In otherwords, in Japan, if you have your original UMD, you can download the game off PSN to your Vita(though, you still gotta pay $). That won't be happeneing here! That really sucks! I wish they could find a way to have a device that reads the UMD & rips it onto the Vita, but I know they gotta fight piracy

Meh I planned on nabbing a new psp, or a couple UMD drives for long term backups. Screw having to pay to DL games I already bought. No great loss IMO.

Exactly. I have 2 psp's (one CFW, one OFW) just for the ease of it. Having backup ways to play my pretty decent sized psp library leaves the Vita free for Vitastic new stuff.

Got my Vita... been playing Pushmo on 3DS.

I hope that the Vita gets its act together, but the 3DS is so damn good.

What's wrong with the vita? I find Wipeout to be exceptionally titolicious.

I still need to get shinobido 2, but Ninja Gaiden is ok for now.

Little Deviants turned out to be neater than I expected, and does the whole augmented reality thing about 400x better than the 3DS and it's douche-wad cards.

The Vita looks cool, But i got burned by sonys portables 1 to many times to get it rite out of the gates. Besides i have a bet with a few friends on how fast Sony will release Uncharted Golden Abyss for the PS3. They say no i say God of War Origins lol.

I don't understand why it was designed with breakable analog sticks? I have to keep the Vita in it's case, which then makes the system even larger than it already is. I was walking through the mall with the system in my coat pocket, and people kept looking at me because it was foolishly bulky.

I thought the view in Wipeout just didn't see to be placed right. I am a big fan of the console games, but this one seems a little off.

I hate the back touch pad. I can't hold the system comfortably without touching it. Playing Super Stardust and using my gravity sucker move without wanting to, it gets so frustrating!

Other than that stuff, it is pretty okay I suppose.

I got Uncharted and Virtua Tennis in the mail the other day, with Hot Shots Golf, Blazblue, and Rayman Origins on the way thanks to the Amazon sale. The Vita is scheduled to arrive tomorrow!

I've only played the demo, but the Vita version seems very faithful to the 360/PS3 versions released a couple of years ago. One thing worth noting is that it doesn't play exactly like Virtua Tennis or Tennis 2k2 on the DC, it is a little more of an actual tennis game and is less arcadey, if that makes sense.

Honestly, I think I'd prefer a straight Tennis 2k2 port, but I'll take what I can get. Once I get to play the full version I'll speak some more about it.

I've always enjoyed Virtual Tennis on the Dreamcast and can't really get into the other releases. Kinda like the World Series games. Loved them and wish they would bring them back. SEGA PLEASE lol.

Hmm, I've had nothing but great results with my PSP's. I have the 1000 for CFW & the 2000 for OFW. For awhile my DS & PSP were even in the number of games I own, but now my PSP has just plain taken over, there's alot of great games on it, & I've never had any problems with the system itself. Heck, just the option to be able to turn it off & still have my game right there is awesome, I use that feature constantly even though it eats battery. I also used to hate the analog nub, but now I'm totally used to it! I don't know if it took me playing the right game on it or what, but I think it's fine, though I still prefer analog sticks.

Hmmm, I wonder if they will end up making Golden Abyss for PS3, I hadn't thought of that...

Oh & in regards to

I've been eating quite a bit of Taco Bell lately, though, I've never had a message saying I won. The deal for the food itself is decent, still, I hope I win....& now, if I win, I hope they don't say it's not valid! Also, looks like that guy has a few Turbo games above his saturn collection, not to mention Ys Oath in Felghana for PSP

Sorry for the late reply, I've been playing my Vita all week!

It took me a while to get into it, but Virtua Tennis 4 is sooooo good! Like I said before it's not as arcadey, so you have to really think about your positioning and timing your button presses correctly, you can't just run in the general direction and hit the button and save the shot like in VT1. But, once you get the hang of it, it's very good! Maybe not as good as VT 1 and 2, but still quite excellent.

I will say that the World Tour mode is considerably better, it was pretty boring in the old games. Also, I like the inclusion of some older tennis legends in the game, but they don't have some of the really popular classic guys you might wish to be in there. They have Courier, Becker and Edberg for example, but are missing classics like Agassi, Sampras and McEnroe.
