Turbopad (Turbo Function) not working...:\

The I (A Button) turbo function doesn't appear to be working. It acts like it is in the second turbo position, so in games like Ys Books 1 and 2, Adol shoots a slow series of fireballs, which makes the later bosses impossible to beat.

I opened it up, and there is some corrosioin on the metal prongs, but nothing out of the ordinary. It was working before, but I don't know what happened. All I could think of is that I did clean the insides (not the circuit), of any dirt using a damp cloth and the Turbo Fuctions were working after that point.

Anyone have any ideas?

The corrosion might be causing your problem, try cleaning off the corrosion with some Deoxit or something similar. You could also try scraping it off but I'd only do something like that as a last resort.
