There are always tons of games that I want to play/own, mostly retro and a few last gen.

In order to have some fun and keep track of the games that catch my eye, I've been using Amazon wishlists as a sort of WTB/Want to try tracking mechanism.

How do you track the games you want to try?

I'm old fashioned and go with pen and paper lists.......... which I often can't find when I want to add a game, forcing me to start a new list.  I've got dozens of 'em squirreled away at home/work.

Spreadsheet or notepad.  I end up having a few different ones on the computer instead of a universal list though.
Gypsies did it.

Microsoft Word, organized by console (consoles arranged chronologically), numbered lists for each games. Games in blue I want, games in black I own.

PukeSter

Memory usually. Meaning it sometimes changes.

PCE Daikusen is a nice tool though.

I have a text file that has survived 15+ years and countless computers. But it is just a source of frustration, because I don't have $$$ to get many games, and the list is tremendous.

I mostly use memory but I have been known to make lists on Word.

Tatsujin

yeah..i use pcedai buylist too. no need of a list for other systems.

LOL

Ain't that the truth. Add time to that factor.

This thread has inspired me to get more organized, so I'm now using Google Keep on my phone.

LMFAO that's about what my wishlist looks like. Oh man, I have so many, consoles and games both. Some of the consoles I want a lot of people would question why the hell I'd ever want them (Jaguar and 3DO) but believe me, I have my reasons, not just for collector's purposes either. I don't, however, want a CDI, and I doubt I ever will. Neo*Geo AES is one of the top and a PCE Duo is one spot above it at #1. I'd also like a Famicom w/Disk System, eventually picking up a PS3 because I'm on my second 360 (first one's disc drive shat out on me) and this one simply refuses to connect online anymore, which basically renders most of my games useless as I need to be connected for most- a lot of the games I have I have DLC for and/or GOTY editions, and none of them'll let me use anything unless I'm connected to update, which how the fuck can I update when I can't connect, etc etc. Anyway yeah.

As for games? Good lord I don't even know where to fucking begin. I'm just gonna say, yes. I'm a collector, I get just about any game I can, however I try to steer clear of bad games, though some considered "bad" I find a specific charm in and I can enjoy. Otherwise as long as I'm not dishing out an unreasonable amount for a game I'm satisfied with adding any and nearly all to my collection.

Google drive keeps my current collection(s), easy to access and no fear of loosing it. I try not to keep a wish list b/c it just makes me sad(moneys)...I rely on memory. If I forget I wanted it, then it just was not that important

I use drive for my collection too, but only stuff I actively collect like Sega.  All my Nintendo stuff is willy nilly and that's probably how I wound up with so many duplicates :o

I do keep a wishlist around, but mainly just for Secret Santa.

If I'm working on a complete set I usually just go off of the text doc checklists for the systems.

Otherwise it's memory...occasionally I use the Wish List feature in the Game Collectorz app but I'm just about fed up with using that overpriced piece of shit software.

I need a new hobby project to learn .NET MVC4/5 once I finish my freelance stuff so I might just create a new collection tracker site.
