EA shutting down 50 old online games on June 30th

WTF really? About the only games on that list that I even played was the neverwinter nights games and command and conquer 3. The rest are more FPS stuff.

No point in making EA the bad guy on this one. It's due to the Gamespy mess that is going on. It is going to affect many other games/companies too that relied on Gamespy for services.

Gamespy was so big at one time that I guess no one ever expected this to happen, so they never bothered to make back up plans in case it did.

I remember going to E3 Atlanta back in 1998.  Gamespy was all the rage at the time.  So many things going on at their booth.  It was crazy how big it was.  Yeah, this is not something I would've seen coming.  How the times have changed.  I also still see the gaming market crashing soon.  One reason I stayed out of it as a 3D Artist.
